Day 1 : Guwahati - Kaziranga

After arrival at Guwahati airport/railway station, our representative will greet and transfer you to Kaziranga National Park . Known for its one-horned rhinoceros, it is a World Heritage Site. Rest for a while and later, proceed for a bonfire. Enjoy your evening sitting with a group of fellow travelers and watching dancers and musicians' energetic performance of Bihu. Afterward, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Exploration of Kaziranga National Park

Today you will wake up early to enjoy a jeep safari at Kaziranga. Witness the species of animals and birds including Golden Langur, Wild Boar, Wild Water Buffalo, Pallas Fish Eagle, and more. As Assam is the largest growing region of tea in the world, post breakfast, you will have a plantation tour of the tea estate. You will visit the local units of local crafts and see their local silk dresses and shawls. The evening is free for leisure activities. Come back to the hotel and hop onto the bed for a comfortable sleep.

Day 3 : Kaziranga to Dirang

On day 3 of the Assam and Arunachal tour, enjoy a hearty meal. Check out from the hotel and proceed to the next destination, Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. A small town, Dirang is known for its snow-clad peaks, gushing streams, and lush greenery. Drive along the beautiful roads and if time permits, visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, home to 200 species including Red Panda and Pheasant. Once in Dirang, check-in and sleep comfortably at the hotel.

Day 4 : Dirang - Tawang

Post scrumptious breakfast, check out, and proceed to the Dirang tour. It is known for its hot spring water so you can walk down to it, dip your legs, and have a relaxing time. These hot springs have medicinal values.

Next, drive to Mandla Phudung, which is the base camp for trekking. After spending time here, I set out for a 4 hours drive from Dirang to Tawang. It is one of the top places to visit in Arunachal Pradesh and is famous for its Tawang Monastery.

Day 5 : Tawang

Start your day early with breakfast and then, proceed to explore Tawang. Make your way to Pankang Teng Tso Lake, which offers enchanting views. Afterward, spend time at Bumla Pass, located at 4633 m above sea level. End the tour with a visit to Sangetsar Lake, which was formed after the 1950 earthquake. Afterward, return to the hotel for dinner and slide under the sheets for a restful sleep.

Day 6 : Tawang

Begin your day 6 of the Assam and Arunachal tour with a delicious meal. Spend your morning relaxing and later proceed to the Tawang sightseeing tour. Visit Tawang Monastery, the largest in India.

After lunch, visit the war memorial and the Buddha statue. Your Tawang tour will end with a shopping tour in the local market where you can buy souvenirs for mementos. You will be dropped off at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 : Tawang - Bomdila

Spend your morning however you like. Go for a walk, enjoy coffee/tea, or explore the local markets. In the evening, you will be checked out and transferred from Tawang to Bomdila . Bomdila is amongst the popular tourist destinations and is situated 8000 feet above sea level. The picturesque mountain views will leave you mesmerized.

En route, halt at a waterfall and click some photos. Stop by the streamside for a mini picnic. Once reached, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 8 : Bomdila – Balipara

Arise for a fulfilling breakfast, check out and enjoy a drive from Bomdila to Balipara (around 4 hours). On your way, stop at Bomdila Monastery. It represents the spiritual essence of Buddhism and resembles the Tsona Gontse Monastery of South Tibet. Afterward, continue your drive, and once reached, check in to the hotel and rest.

In the afternoon, explore Nameri and indulge in jungle trekking with an armed guide. Later in the day, return to the hotel and enjoy a restful sleep.

Day 9 : Balipara - Guwahati

Start your day early. Post breakfast, check out and get assisted from Balipara to Guwahati (4 to 5 hours drive). Once reached, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Proceed for the Guwahati city tour. Today, you will cover Kamakhya Temple and Vashistha Ashram. Seek blessings for the divine at these revered shrines. Afterward, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
