Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Dar

    Meet and greet at the Airport, transfer about 45minutes to check in at Tiffany Diamond Hotel base on bed and breakfast.

  • Day 2 : Depart to Nyerere National Park (takes 6hrs)

    After breakfast depart to Nyerere National Park, takes 6hrs with picnic lunches. Check in at Selous River Camp for dinner and overnight. Afternoon you will have boat safari along Rufiji River
    The Selous River Camp is located near the border of the Reserve and has beautiful view on the river. Accommodation is in self-contained mud huts. Each unique mud hut was built using material sourced locally and built by local craftsmen using traditional techniques. The thatched roofs and mud walls keep the mud huts cool during the heat of the day and help the Mud hut blend into the surrounding bush. The beautiful rustic furniture and decor inside the rooms were all made by hand in camp, mostly from natural materials found close by. Bedspreads and curtains are all made by our local tailor from Tanzanian Kitenge cloth. The rooms are softly lit in the evenings with paraffin lamps.

  • Day 3 : Nyerere National Park

    Set for two full day game drive takes 9-10 hrs with picnic lunches. this vast park is part of the legendary Selous Game Reserve. Wildlife-viewing experiences in the Nyerere National Park are superb - there are so many giraffes, that the park is known affectionately as “giraffic park”. Among many other safari animals, large numbers of Hippo, Crocodile, Impala and Elephant can be seen, as well as the world's largest population of the endangered African Wild Dog. Dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp
    Few other safaris in Tanzania evoke the romance, mystique and spiritual delight of the African bush as one in the Selous Game Reserve. Embracing 54,000 square km of south-western Tanzania, it is one of the largest protected wilderness reserve on the continent, three times larger than the Serengeti and twice the size of Belgium. Named after the legendary 19th century explorer and hunter Frederick Courtney Selous, the reserve was founded by the German colonial administration in 1905. It was later expanded to include traditional elephant migration routes and accommodate the vast herds of buffalo that roam this remote, untouched corner of Africa.

  • Day 5 : Depart to Mikumi National Park (takes 7hrs)

    After breakfast, depart to Mikumi for game drive and late afternoon check in at Camp Bastian Mikumi base on full board Camp Bastian Mikumi is set in unique and natural surroundings. The Camp is located in the buffer zone of Mikumi National Park about 10km from the main gate and A7 Dar es Salaam-Zambia/Malawi Highway. Cottages has private verandah, and is decorates with locally made furniture and fabrics to keep an authentic atmosphere in the rooms, each cottages have private bathroom attached. You will find everything you need during your stay, complimentary bottled water, towels and mosquito netting, hot water and electricity 24hrs.
    Mikumi National Park: Lions survey their grassy kingdom – and the zebra, wildebeest, impala and buffalo herds that migrate across it – from the flattened tops of termite mounds, or sometimes, during the rains, from perches high in the trees. Giraffes forage in the isolated acacia stands that fringe the Mkata River, islets of shade favored also by Mikumi's elephants. More than 400 bird species have been recorded, with such colourful common residents as the lilac-breasted roller, yellow-throated longclaw and bateleur eagle joined by a host of European migrants during the rainy season.

  • Day 6 : Depart to Ruaha National Park (takes 9hours)

    After breakfast depart to Iringa. Hot lunch in Iringa and visit Neema Craft Project. Continue to Ruaha and check in at Ruaha Hilltop for dinner and overnight.
    This day they can drive slowly and will see villages and people with their daily activities.
    Ruaha Hilltop is situated 110 km from Iringa Town, 5 km from Tungamalenga Village and near the boundary of Ruaha National Park. The lodge is built high on a hill with a wonderful panoramic view. There are many different types of birds and trees that can be seen near the lodge. Dining and bar is all under one roof with a special place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

  • Day 7 : Full days in Ruaha National Park

    Two full day game drives in the park with packed lunches. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hill Top.
    Covering a conservation area of 10,300 square kilometers in the south-west of the country, Ruaha sprawls within and along the Great Rift Valley, covering a unique transition zone where the Eastern and Southern species of both fauna and flora meet against a dramatic topographical backdrop. This is also one of the few Tanzanian parks where sightings of the rarer antelope, such as the Sable, the Roan and both Lesser & Greater Kudu, are a probability rather than a possibility. The proliferation of plains game in the park also ensures that the larger predators - leopard and large prides of lion - are unusually active. The bird life, too, is unparalleled with some 530 species recorded.

  • Day 8 : Full days in Ruaha National Park

    Two full day game drives in the park with packed lunches. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hill Top.

  • Day 9 : Ruaha to Morogoro (takes 9hrs)

    After breakfast, depart to Morogoro with packed lunch. Check in at Mbuyuni Farm
    Mbuyuni Farm is a working organic farm; the cottages are quite spacious, set in a nice garden looking over baobab trees onto the Uluguru Mountains. Each cottage has a double and a single bed. A swimming pool is available, it is possible to walk through the farm and also arrange excursions in the Uluguru Mountains.

  • Day 10 : Back to Dar

    After breakfast, depart back to Dar with packed lunch. Dropped off at your Hotel, Airport or Port
