Day 1 : Arrival in Sri Lanka – Colombo
Upon arrival at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly received by our representative from Experior Travels. You will then be escorted to your vehicle and transferred to Colombo, the starting point of your unique golfing experience.
Colombo is the official political and trade capital of Sri Lanka. All the famous shopping arcades are in and around the city, allowing one a tantalizing experience in Colombo as it has something to offer every visitor. As a hub of many ethnicities with people from all creeds working together, Colombo is indeed cosmopolitan. This is where the Royal Colombo Golf Course which boasts a 125 year history is situated.
The Royal Colombo Golf Club is the oldest course in Sri Lanka and the second oldest Golf Club in Asia with a 6560 yard par 71 course.

Today you will travel to Kandy – a World Heritage city. Traditions and culture remain undisturbed by European influence in the colonial era. The Royal Palace, now known as the “The Temple of the Tooth Relic” (of Lord Buddha), situated right beside the Kandy lake gives a magical beauty to the city. Kandy is also home to one of the largest botanical gardens in South East Asia. The Gardens dates back to the 14th century and boasts over 4000 species of plants and many trees with significant histories. Visitors from the UK will be particularly interested in the Cannonball Tree planted by King George V. The tree is bent with its fruits, which resemble cannonballs hence the name.
Kandy is also the home of *Victoria Golf Club – “This is one of the Top 10 Golf Courses in the world…it offers a challenge to even the most accomplished player….”European Ladies Champion and holder of 10 world championships. As the course meanders through the tree lined fairways, each hole offers a different challenge as well as its own unique charm. Perhaps the 6th hole stands out as being the most spectacular with its tee set 100feet above the fairway, commanding breath taking views over the course to the water beyond

Travel to Nuwara Eliya, the emerald city of Sri Lanka, also known as “little England” for its cool climate and colonial style architecture. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) above sea level which enables the plantations to produce the finest tea in the world.
The city is home to at *Nuwara Eliya Golf Club – walking distance from the town center. At 6200 meters above sea level and nestled amidst the tea plantations of the central highlands, Nuwara Eliya is a charming hill station developed by British planters in the late 1800s. It is easy to see why they chose to settle here. Nuwara Eliya is an area of great natural beauty and pleasant climate. Testaments to the town’s British history are found in such institutions as the Racecourse, Hill Club and the attractive Nuwara Eliya Golf Club.
