10 Nights / 11 Days
Uganda is a country full of diverse wildlife, amazing people, stunning scenery and exciting activities, many of which can be experienced on this 11 day journey through one of Africa's friendliest destinations.
Chimpanzees, gorillas, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the Nile River will provide you with an adventure of a lifetime.
On Arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by a Guesthouse representative and transferred to your lodge where you will spend 1 night.
You will drive through Kampala this morning to Fort Portal, where you will stop for lunch before continuing into the Kibale National Park, one of the most beautiful in Uganda. You will spend 2 nights here in the forest which is home to abundant primate species and lush and diverse flora.
Today at 05h30 as you head off for a sensational full day Chimp Habituation Experience. Kibale Forest is known for having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Spending the entire day with the chimps enables you to learn about their lifestyle. The behaviour of the babies will be adorable while the older males do their very best to impress. Experience how they feed and interact as a family. Observe how they chatter, quarrel and make up again. Between 18h30 and 19h30 the chimpanzees will start nesting again, at which time you will make your way back out of the forest.
After breakfast you will depart the Kibale Forest at a leisurely pace via the Crater Lakes Area to Kasese Town. From Kasese, you will cross the Equator as the road passes though the Queen Elizabeth National Park – Uganda Cobs are abundant, so keep a look out for elephants or buffaloes in the distance. You will spend the afternoon on a game drive.
This morning will be spent on a game drive, and in the afternoon you will enjoy a cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
You will make your way through the south eastern Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and continue through breathtaking scenery to the town of Kisoro, on the southern side of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
One of the major highlights of any African journey takes place today, as you enter Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your gorilla trek. The hike may be strenuous, but the hour spent with these rare and remarkable creatures will more than make up for any sore muscles or tired limbs.
It is a long drive today as you make your way back to Kampala, after an early breakfast. The beautiful rolling hills of Uganda dominate the landscape, and the long day is full of scenic delights. You will arrive in Kampala in the early evening, and spend 1 night at your lodge here.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Jinja, where you will spend the next 2 nights, allowing for some relaxation on the banks of the Nile, or for the more active, numerous excursions can be arranged.
You will have the full day in Jinja today.
You will be transferred back to Entebbe International Airport today in time for your departure flight out of Uganda.
