Day 1 : Arrival at Paro international airport.
Our Crew Will Receive You At the Airport the Only Gateway to the Kingdom and Transfer You to Your Hotel. Depending On the Flight Arrival Timing, Be Free to Explore the Paro Downtown. You Will Feel that the Air is Thin and It is Good to Do Some Mild Walks Around Paro Valley At 2300m to Acclimatize Your Lungs. Along the Main Street You Will Find Probably the Best Complex of Traditional Architecture in the Country. Walk Towards the Southwest from the Main Street You Will Reach the Choeten Lhaking, Shaped like a Large Bhutanese Style Chorten, in the Centre of the Town. Take Walk Around Dungtse Lhakhang(3 Floors)-built in 1433 Which Represent Hell, Earth and Heaven and After Few Minutes Walk You Will Find Ugyen Pelri Palace, Built By Paro Penlop Tshering Penjor in the Early 1900s and is Now the Residence of the Queen Mother. It is Said to Be Designed After Guru Rinpoche's Celestial Paradise and is One of the Most Beautiful Example of Bhutanese Architecture. Day 2 : Paro Sightseeing and Hikes
Take a Easy Valley Walking Around the Paro Valley Floor and Visit the Paro Dzong/fortress (rinpung Dzong) About Appx 10mins Walk from the Town, One of the Most Impressive and Well Known Dzong in Bhutan Built in 1646 A.d By Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. the Fortress is Presently the Seat of the District Administration and the Residence of the Monk Body. Take a Mild Walk(4-5hrs) and Visit the Ruins of Drugyal Dzong or the Fortress of the Victorious Drukpas (appx16kms from Paro Town) At Present Ruin Fortress One Which Repelled the Tibetan Invader in 17th Century .from Here, Weather Permitting Views of Mt. Jhomolhari "mountain of the Goddess" (alt7,329mtrs/24,029ft) is a Rewarding Sight. and Take a Moderate Walk and Visit Typical Bhutanese Farmhouse On the Way Back to the Town. Lunch At the Hotel. After Lunch, Visit the National Muesuem (ta Dzong) 1/2hr Easy Walk from the Downtown Valley. this Unusual Round Building is Said to Be in the Shape of a Conch Shell. It Was Completed in 1956 and Was Originally a Watch Tower of Paro. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang (lhakhang Means Monastery). Kyichu Lhakhang Was Built in 659 A.d By King Soingtsen Gampo of Tibet as One of 108 such Monasteries Built Across the Himalayas to Spread Buddhism. It is Located Between Paro Town and Drugyal Dzong. this Temple Marks the Advent of Buddhism in Bhutan. O/n Paro Bld)
Day 3 : Paro Hike and Transfer to Thimphu
After Early Breakfast Take the Famous Hike to Paro Taktsang Monastery View Point also Known as the Tiger's Nest(appx 5hrs). the Gain in Elevation Could Get a Bit Difficult But Our Guide Will Assist in the Level of the Endurance of Guests and Will Arrange Riding Ponies if Required. this Magical Monastery Cling to a Vertical Granite Cliff 3,000 Ft Above the Valley Floor and the Primary Lhakang Was Built Around Guru Rimpoche's Meditation Cave in 1684by Paro Penlop, Gyaltshe Tenzin Rabgay, the Incredible Monastery Clings to the Edge of a Sheer Rock Cliff that Plunges 900meters Into the Valley Below. Legend Has It that Guru Padmassambhava, the Tantric Mystic Who Brought Buddhism to Bhutan in 747 Ad, Flew Here On the Back of a Flying Tigress. Monastery Unfortunately Got Burnt in 1998 and Has Recently Constructed. After Lunch Drive to Thimphu 1 Hr Transfer Amidst the Hamlets of Paro all Along the Paro River and Willow Trees. Day 4 : Thimphu Sightseeing and Moderate and Easy Hikes and Transfer to Punakha.
Ntry. O/n Adventure Camp with Complete Set Up of Toilets, Shower, Camp Cots, Bar, Dining. After Breakfast Walk Around this Small City, Thimphu is the Capital City of Bhutan with About 100,000 Inhabitants. Visit Some Handicraft Stores, Walk to the Arts and Craft School Where Students Get Trained in the 16 Arts and Crafts. Visit National Memorial Chorten,Built in 1974 in the Honor of Our Late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, "the Father of Modern Bhutan". It is Built in the Tibetan Style and There are Numerous Religious Paintings and the Complex Tantric Statues Reflecting Both the Peaceful and Wrathful Aspect of the Buddhist Deities. Visit Changgangkha Lhakhang Built in 15th Century Visit the Viewpoint and Walk Around the Takin Sanctuary. Takin is the National Animal of Bhutan that Has the Head of the Goat and Body of a Bull with Long Hair like Yaks. After Lunch Drive to Punakha Valley Via the Dochula Pass At 3200m, You have Great Views of the Eastern Himalayan Range Weather Permitting. Day 5 : Punakha Sightseeing and Village Hikes.
Visit the Punakha Dzong Built in 1637, the Winter Residence of the Monk Body, is Situated in a Stunning Position Where Two Rivers, the Pho- Chu(male) and the Mo-chu(female) Join Together. Punakha Dzong Has Been Restored to Its Full Glory After About Twelve Years of Restoration Work. Enjoy the Sight of the Traditional Carvings and Colorful Painting in Perfect Condition and It also Houses Many Scared Temple Including the Machen Where the Embalmed Body of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal Lies in the State. Punakha Dzong is the Testimony of the Rich Architecture and Painting of Bhutanese People. Take a Walk to Explore Punakha Town. After Lunch Drive to Kabisatake a Short Hike to Khamsung Yuelley Namgyal Stupa. the Round Hike Would Take About 2hours.and from the View Point At the Majestic Temple We Can Afford Grand Views of the Mochu River Valley Below. this is a Moderately Easy Hike Through Rice Fields and Picturesque Landscape. By Descending from the Temple and Follow a Well-worn Path Downs the Valley Through Rice Field and Small Villages. Hike Around the Villages of Shengana. O/n Adventure Camp
Day 6 : Drive to Phobjikha Valley. 3hrs.
After Breakfast Drive to Wangdue ,Enroute Hike for 20minutes Through a Small Village to Chimi Lakhang (i.e Lam Drukpa Kinley's Monastery), also Commonly Known as the "divine Madman Temple". the Site is Still Believed to Hold Fertility Power for Women Wanting to Conceive. Walk Around the Wangdue Town and Drive Through the Many Village of Sha to the Phobjikha Valley At 3000m Elevation and Takes 2hrsof Drive from Wangdi Phodrang, a Glacial Valley Located On the Western Slope of the Black Mountain At An Altitude of 9840feet Above Sea Level. There is No Telephone or Electricity and is the Winter Home to the Rare Black-necked Crane that Migrate from High Plateaus of Tibet in the Late Fall to Escape Harsh Winters. There are also Muntjak (barking Deer), Wild Bore, Samber, Himalayan Black Bear, Leopard and Red Fox. Take An Easy Hike to Visit Gangtey Goenpa, the Largest Nyingma Monastry in Bhutan Which Was Built in 1613.you Can Take An Easy Hike to Observe the Cranes. It is Very Scenic and Mind Soothing Hike that Would Provide You with Rewarding Surprises. the Phobjikha Valley is Famous for the Endangered Black Neck Cranes. O/n Camp.
Day 7 : Phobjikha valley hikes.
You Can Take a Hike Visiting Villages and Observing the Cranes. It is Very Scenic and Mind Soothing Hike that Would Provide You with Rewarding Surprises. the Phobjikha Valley is Famous for the Endangered Black Neck Cranes. Easy Walk to Norsang Carpet Factory. You Can also Visit the Khebethang Nature Study Center Funded By Wwf. the Farmers are Mostly Engaged in Potato Farming .walk Around the Phobjikha Valley, Interact with Farmers. the Valley is a Huge Glacial Valley and Can Take a Whole Day for Exploration with Cultural Interest, Social Life and Nature.
Day 8 : Drive to Bumthang. 5hrs.
Drive to Bumthang Valley, the Switzerland of Bhutan. this Valley Used to Be the Home of Many Swiss People Who Lived Here Helping Forest Projects and Assisting Villages During the 80s. the Landscape, Hills and Mountains is Similar to Switzerland Except that There are Many Monasteries and Prayer Flags that Dot the Hills. Before Reaching Bumthang We Will Stop At Trongsa and Visit the Largest Dzong in the Country Which is of Historical Importance to the Royal Family in Bhutan as It Was from this Dzong that the Present Dynasty Took Its Roots. You Can also Take a Hike About 3km to View and to Take a Brief Look At the Ancient Watch Tower. O/n Camp.
Day 9 : Bumthang hikes and exploration.
Bumthang is a Huge Wide Valley and Many Sights of Cultural Interest, It is a Good Place to Walk Around the Valley and also Visit the Many Villages and Monasteries. After the Breakfast Drive to Embark On Our Wonderful Hike to Nganglhakhang Appx.5hrs Passing Through Villages, Field and Forests and also Crossing Over Suspension Bridges. Visit Thangbi Lhakhang Enroute Before Entering "swan Land"(ngang Yul).here is ''swan Temple"(nganglhakhang). Swans First Inhabited this Part of the Valley. if There is Time Take a Short Hike to Mebar Tsho(burning Lake) and Later You Can Take a Refreshing Through the Town. O/n Camp.
Day 10 : Bumthang to Punakha. 6hrs
Drive to Punakha After Visiting Sights that have Not Been Visited Earlier. Lunch At Punakha. After Lunch Visit Limukha. this Place is Known for It's Love of Peace and Tranquility. I T is Said that During the Medieval Wars the People of Limukha Always Volunteered as Peace Negotiators. the Red Rice Grown Here By Farmers is also Said to have Medical Value. It Takes About 2 and Half Hour Hike to Limukha. One Has to Cross the Suspension Bridge in Punakha Dzong Following the Farm House and Takes You Towards Dompala Hill. O/n Punakha Dragon Nest Resort or Similar.
Day 11 : Punakha to Paro via Thimphu for lunch, shopping etc. 4hrs.
Drive to Paro Via Thimphu for Lunch, Complete Shopping, Sightseeing. Be Free to End the Tour in Bhutan with a Hot Stone Bath in Your Resort. the Hot Stone Bath is a Form of Traditional Spa, Where the Stones are Heated Red Hot and Dropped Into a Wooden Tub; It is Believed that this Has Healing Effect On the Bones and Skin. Farewell Dinner. O/n Paro. Hotel Holiday Home or Similar.
Day 12 : Departure
Departure for Delhi/kolkata/kathmandu/bangkok.
