Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Welcome to Rwanda a Land of Thousand Hills

  Our experienced exciting guide will give you a warm welcome to Rwanda at Kigali airport. Straight from Airport you will feel our friendliness and the wonderful fresh weather. While at the Hotel of your choice, our driver guide will brief you about the whole your safari that Able Safaris is offering you. Dinner and Overnight at Mt Gorilla View Hotel/Le Bambou/Muhabura Hotel.

• Day 2 : Look in the Eye of the Mountain Gorillas

  Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Depending on how far the gorillas are and the weather, you can either spend with them an hour or take a full day with them. Dinner and Overnight at Mt Gorilla View Hotel/Le Bambou/Muhabura Hotel.

• Day 3 : Day to Make Your Own Choice

  In case you are interested in viewing the primates, you can visit the golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi and visit Ross Carr's orphanage and Lake Kivu or climb the Visoke/Muhavura volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey's grave, or visit the local school, community projects or walk to Lake Bulera. Dinner and Overnight at Mt Gorilla View Hotel/Le Bambou/Muhabura Hotel.

• Day 4 : Unforgettable Journey to the Mountain Gorillas

  This exciting journey will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Getting to this home of the Mountain Gorillas known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery at its best. Dinner and Overnight at Engagi Lodge/Ruhija Gorilla Lodge/Nkuringo Gorilla Camp.

• Day 5 : Mountain Gorillas in the Mist

  Do you know that looking in the eye of the gorilla is the highlight of the whole safari! Especially hikers will love the Gorilla tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. Expect to adventurously track through the Impenetrable Forest before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play with the young ones, rest and act like Humans. A unique and unforgettable experience! Those who prefer not to participate in the gorilla tracking can go for a guided forest walk or explore the surroundings with the Community Village Walk. Dinner and Overnight at Engagi Lodge/Ruhija Gorilla Lodge/Nkuringo Gorilla Camp.

• Day 6 : Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park

  The journey will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing the Crater Lakes while following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. With an en route game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park you will have an encounter with different game. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Katala Lodge/Kyambura Lodge/Simba Lodge.

• Day 7 : Feast On the Wild

  Have you ever imagined the co-existence of different wild animals in the wild, Queen Elizabeth National Park is the best place to visit for the game. Game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park is done best in the morning in our safari vehicle with our driver guide and Ranger guide who will take you through the National Park. In the wild, you can spot different game from the starting point. In the Afternoon enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This boat cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Katala Lodge/Kyambura Lodge/Simba Lodge.

• Day 8 : Visit the Chimpanzees

  Morning game drive is worth going for before transferring to Kibale Forest national park the home of the Chimpanzees. Dinner and overnight at Kyanika Lodge/ Mountains of the Moon Hotel/ Chimpanzee Guest House.

• Day 9 : Discover Semiliki

  After breakfast go to the hot springs and crown the day in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. The visit to the villages has proven to be an interesting cultural experience. The guide will have lunch arranged for you to be served as a picnic while you experience the "real Africa". Afternoon transfer to Fort Portal and arrive this evening Dinner and overnight at Kyanika Lodge/ Mountains of the Moon Hotel/ Chimpanzee Guest House.

• Day 10 : Trek the Chimpanzees in the Wild

  Did you know that chimpanzee tracking in the Kibale Forest is very adventurous, rare and unforgettable; Tracking of the Chimps will be led by the ranger guide and will start from Kanyanchu River Camp in Kibale Forest National Park a home of the chimps. The activity will start either at 8.00am in the morning or 12noon on the same day depending on the group that the clients are given. At 1pm lunch will be served at the Lodge which you will enjoy while admiring the landscape. Dinner and overnight at Kyanika Lodge/ Mountains of the Moon Hotel/ Chimpanzee Guest House.

• Day 11 : City of Seven Hills

  Driving to the city of the seven Hills you with have a stopover for lunch. Overnight at Le Petit Hotel/ Cassia Lodge/Namirembe Guest House.

• Day 12 : Safe Journey Back Home

  Transfer to the airport
