Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati Arrival

  • Meet & Greet on arrival at Railway Station / Airport & transfer.
  • Visit the Kamakhya Temple
  • After that check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Guwahati.

• Day 2 : Guwahati - Dirang (320 Kms in 8 hrs)

  • After Early morning breakfast checkout and drive to Dirang(Alt 4910Ft/1497M).
  • On arrival check in at the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Dirang.

• Day 3 : Dirang - Tawang (140 Kms in 6 hrs)

  • After breakfast checkout and drive to Tawang (Alt 10,000Ft / 3048M). En-route visit war cemetery and Continue with the drive till you reach Sela Pass at an altitude of 4114m / 13494 ft. It is famous for high altitude lakes & scenic beauty & is ideal for ice skating during winter.
  • Check in at Hotel and you are free for the Evening
  • Overnight at Tawang.

• Day 4 : Tawang (full day sightseeing)

  • Today we will have a full day excursion around Tawang. We will visit the famous Tawang Monastery, which was founded by Mera Lama LodreGyaltso. He was a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama and founded the Monestery during 17th century A.D. At present it accommodates over 500 monks and houses priceless Buddhist texts and scriptures.
  • Later, we will go on a short trek to BramdungchungAniGomap, which is the abode of nuns and the oldest AniGompa in Tawang. The Gompa is situated in the lap of a far off mountain laced with natural scenery and comes under the administration of Tawang Monastery.
  • In the evening we will visit Urgelling Monastery, situated 5 km to the south of town. It was here in 1683 TsangyangGyatso, the sixth Dalai Lama was born. We will also visit the Monpa Village.

• Day 5 : Excursion to Madhuri Lake and Bumla Pass

  • After breakfast visit Sungester Lake (Alt 14500Ft) which was formed in 1950, following a major earthquake. It is better known as Madhuri Lake after the actress of the same name who came here for a shoot of the film “Koyla”. Evening return back to hotel.
  • Then visit the Bumla Pass (Alt 15000Ft / 4400M), this is one of the most off-beat passes in the world. It is also referred to as the pass from where Dalai Lama entered India escaping from Tibet.
  • Overnight stay in Tawang.

• Day 6 : Tawang – Bomdila (190 Kms, 8 Hrs)

  • After Early breakfast check out from hotel drive to Bomdila (Alt 7274Ft/2217M). Check in to hotel and visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad ranges.
  • Overnight stay in Bomdila.

• Day 7 : Bomdila – Nameri/ Bhalukpong (110 Kms, 4 Hrs)

  • After breakfast, start sightseeing. In the morning, explore the Craft Centre. You can shop for some high-quality colorful carpets and masks. Later, start your road journey to Nameri (4 hrs). Stay in Bhalukpong.

• Day 8 : Nameri/ Bhalukpong - Ziro (295 Kms, 8 Hrs)

  • After breakfast, start your road journey to Ziro (8 hrs).
  • On arrival check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

• Day 9 : Ziro (sightseeing)

  • After breakfast visit the Talley valley Wildlife Sanctuary home to several endangered animals such as the clouded leopard.
  • Then visit the 5,000 year-old Meghna Cave Temple and then spend your day strolling around pine tree forested Midey.
  • Next up, visit Ziro Puto the place where the first administrative center was set up after India’s independence.

• Day 10 : Ziro – Tezpur (280 Kms, 7 Hrs)

  • After breakfast Leave for Tezpur. On arrival check in the hotel and take rest.
  • Overnight stay at Tezpur.

• Day 11 : Tezpur - Guwahati (175 Kms, 4 Hrs)

  • After breakfast we will depart for Guwahati. On arrival visit the Shankar Kalakshetra and then we will go for Alfresco Cruise ride which will take you to the heart of the Brahmaputra river. Then you are free to visit the market.
  • Overnight stay at Guwahati.
