A journey at your own pace through the beautiful Cape Town region and along the Garden Route to a wildlife destination in the Eastern Cape, this itinerary offers you a great holiday in one of the most renowned parts of South Africa.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cape Town

  Arriving at Cape Town International Airport today, you will collect your hire car and drive to Kensington Place where you will spend 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
• Day 2 : Cape Town and Peninsula

  These 2 full days are available for you to find your way to some of the many attractions of Cape Town and the Peninsula.
• Day 3 : Cape Town and Peninsula

  These 2 full days are available for you to find your way to some of the many attractions of Cape Town and the Peninsula.
• Day 4 : Cape Town - Cape Winelands

  Set out to the Cape Winelands today, perhaps enjoying lunch at one of the fine relaxed restaurants in the university town of Stellenbosch, and spend the afternoon exploring the area with its many interesting historical and cultural features. You will spend the night at Mont Rochelle on a bed and breakfast basis.
• Day 5 : Cape Winelands - Hermanus

  This morning head out from the Winelands towards Hermanus on the coast where you will spend 3 nights at Auberge Burgundy on a bed and breakfast basis.
• Day 6 : Hermanus

  Your main activity today will be a cruise out to sea to go on a whale spotting expedition, looking out for hump backed and Southern right whales as well as the different dolphin species to be seen in these waters.
• Day 7 : Hermanus

  Head out today for a scenic drive to Cape Agulhus, the most southerly point in Africa and the true meeting place of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.Shark cage diving to see Great White Sharks in their natural habitat will be an amazing experience.
• Day 8 : Hermanus - Oudtshoorn

  Today you make your way along the spectacularly scenic Route 62 to Oudtshoorn, where you will have an opportunity to visit an ostrich farm and the Cango Caves complex. You will spend the night at De Opstal Country Lodge on a full board basis.
• Day 9 : Oudtshoorn - Knysna

  Leave Oudtshoorn today for a spectacular drive to Knysna via the Outeniqua Pass, George, and the coastal road through Wilderness.You will spend 2 nights at Kanonkop Guest House on a bed and breakfast basis.
• Day 10 : Knysna

  You will have the full day to explore Knysna and this part of the Garden Route.
• Day 11 : Knysna - Eastern Cape

  Continue on your journey along the Garden Route today, through indigenous forests and over spectacular gorges. You will spend 3 nights at a lodge in Shamwari Game Reserve on a full board basis.
• Day 12 : Eastern Cape

  These 2 days will be spent enjoying the game viewing and other activities available at your lodge.
• Day 13 : Eastern Cape

  These 2 days will be spent enjoying the game viewing and other activities available at your lodge.
• Day 14 : Day of Departure

  This morning you drive to Port Elizabeth to drop off your hire car and fly out of Port Elizabeth Airport on your onward journey.
