Package Overview

14 Days Africa trip to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya and Serengeti and Ngorongoro in Tanzania. Upon arrival Victoria Falls, you stay 3 nights. Tour the Falls from both Zambian and Zimbabwean side. Then catch a flight to Nairobi, Kenya.

Next day fly into Masai Mara and stay for 3 nights before driving to Tanzania, doing safaris Serengeti for another 3 nights, and Ngorongoro where you spend another 2 nights. The last night is in Nairobi before departing for home.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

  Fly into Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel. You are booked on a bed and breakfast basis for the next 3 nights.
• Day 2 : Tours of Victoria Falls On Zambia and Zimbabwe Side

  After breakfast, take a morning guided tour of the Victoria Falls. Lunch break. In the afternoon cross the border to Zambia for a tour of the falls on that side.
  
  During low water, a light raincoat is very useful for wandering between the viewpoints on the Zimbabwean side, though it’s not necessary in Zambia. However, in high water a raincoat is largely ineffective as the spray blows all around and soaks you in seconds. Later return to your hotel for overnight.
• Day 3 : Morning Optional Tours – Evening Zambezi Sunset Boat Cruise

  On this day, the morning is left for additional activities in and around Victoria Falls, possible activities include a visit to Victoria Falls Town, elephant ride or bush walks, or just relax at your hotel.
  Late afternoon pick up for a sunset boat cruise on the African Queen on the Zambezi River. The African Queen is a triple deck 70ft catamaran, furnished with Rhodesian Teak, Beech Wood and brass finishes. On arrival at the Royal Landing, you are greeted with a cold cocktail and the sounds of the Marimba Band, a local instrument that laments the sounds of Africa. A full bar on both upper and lower deck serve a selection of cocktails, iced drinks and a variety of snacks.
  In the fading twilight hours, take a sunset cruise. Heed the call of Africa while sipping traditional cocktails and enjoying light snacks. – Return to your hotel Zambezi Sun for overnight.
• Day 4 : Morning free. Afternoon Flight Livingstone to Nairobi

  Last day in Livingstone. Morning free before transfer to the airport for flight to Nairobi, Kenya. There only 3 flights per week – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Take a 4 hour 30 minutes flight via Harare to arrive Nairobi in the late evening – around 2200 hours.
  On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met by Hallmark Travel Planner’ escort and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at EKA Hotel Nairobi.
• Day 5 : Afternoon Flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara

  Sleep-in and take a late after breakfast, rest till lunch time before pick pick up from your hotel in Nairobi by Hallmark Travel Planners’ representative for the transfer to the airport for the afternoon flight to Masai Mara. It is a 1 hour flight to the reserve. You will be meet by your driver-guide at the airstrip. Enjoy your first game drive on the way to the lodge to check in just before sunset. Dinner and overnight at Mara River Camp
• Day 6 : Safaris in Maasai Mara

  You will have 2 full days of safari activities. Either full day game drives with picnic lunches or 2 extended game drives with a lunch break in between.
  
  The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain’s game including the black-maned lions, leopard and cheetah. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife available in Kenya. You will have 3 game drives during the day and will also be able to enjoy the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. Alternatively, you can opt for full days of game drives taking picnic lunch boxes from your lodge. All meals and overnight at Mara River Camp.
• Day 7 : Safaris in Maasai Mara

  You will have 2 full days of safari activities. Either full day game drives with picnic lunches or 2 extended game drives with a lunch break in between.

• Day 8 : Drive Masai Mara to Serengeti

  Today you take an early breakfast and leave for Tanzania. After customs and immigration procedure, you will be met by our counterparts from the Tanzania partner office and drive into Serengeti Game Reserve. With game drive en route, you will arrive Serengeti at around 1700 hours. Dinner and overnight Serengeti Mawe Camp.
  
  Serengeti National Park is one of the best-known wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and was recently declared as one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. The name comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains and is equal in size to Northern Ireland. The Park contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in seasonal migration which makes it one of natures’ wonders.
• Day 9 : Game Drives in Serengeti

  Full days of game viewing activities, with optional of packed lunch or return to the lodge for Lunch and proceed with afternoon game drive in endless plains of Serengeti national Park till sunset.It covers an area of about 14763sq kms, with various vegetation, grassy plains, savannah acacia lands, wooden hills and mountains which are the backdrops for an extraordinary concentration of animals which reaches its peak during the wildebeest migration. It is said to be around 2 million of wildebeests in Serengeti that migrate every year from Massai Mara plains. Serengeti is among of the world’s remaining natural wildlife refuges. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Mawe Camp.

• Day 10 : Game Drives in Serengeti

  Full days of game viewing activities, with optional of packed lunch or return to the lodge for Lunch and proceed with afternoon game drive in endless plains of Serengeti national Park till sunset.It covers an area of about 14763sq kms, with various vegetation, grassy plains, savannah acacia lands, wooden hills and mountains which are the backdrops for an extraordinary concentration of animals which reaches its peak during the wildebeest migration. It is said to be around 2 million of wildebeests in Serengeti that migrate every year from Massai Mara plains. Serengeti is among of the world’s remaining natural wildlife refuges. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Mawe Camp.

• Day 11 : Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro

  After breakfast, depart Serengeti National Park driving to Ngorongoro Conservation area via Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue driving to Ngorongoro to arrive for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge.

• Day 12 : Tour of Ngorongoro Crater

  Today will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a full day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

• Day 13 : Drive to Kilimanjaro Via Arusha – Fly to Nairobi

  After breakfast at the lodge depart for Arusha. Enjoy a hot lunch at a restaurant, then proceed to Kilimanjaro Airport for flight to Nairobi. After immigration and customs procedures at the border, you will proceed to Nairobi. Drive to the Carnivore Restaurant for dinner before transfer to the EKA hotel for overnight.
• Day 14 : Depart

  Depending on the time of your flight, you will be picked up by Hallmark Travel Planners representative and transfer to the airport for flight out of Africa.
