  • Day 1 : (03 Nights): Arrival in Sri Lanka - Habarana

    Upon arrival at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly received by a representative from Experior Travels. Your journey of discovery has just begun. You will be escorted to your vehicle and transferred to Habarana, the starting point of your expedition.

    Habarana, located in the famous cultural triangle, offers plenty to fire both mind and body over the next four days. Explore some of Sri Lanka’s fascinating UNESCO protected World Heritage Sites - the lion rock of Sigiriya, a royal capital city built in 477 AD; the ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa, which was Sri Lanka’s royal medieval capital between the late 11th - 13th centuries. If you wish to include some action, you can include an adventurous elephant safari at Habarana, or a safari at Minneriya National Park when you visit Polonnaruwa.

  • Day 4 : (01 Night): Habarana - Anuradhapura

    Today you will travel to Anuradhapura an ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Historical scripts record this as the official capital from the 4th century B.C. till 11th century A.D. However archeological data shows the city existed from way back as 10th century B.C. Today, Anuradhapura is a historic attraction and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site with its ancient ruins and monuments.

    Listed below are the main attractions of Anuradhapura.
    Sri Maha Bodiya - A sacred Fig tree planted in 288 B.C
    Ruwanwelisaya - Built by King Dutugemunu in 140 B.C
    Thuparamaya - The 1st Stupa built in the island by King Devanampiya Tissa
    Lovamahapaaya - The Brazen Palace which stood up on 1000 pillars
    And Abhayagiri Dhagaba, Jayatawanarama, Mirissaveitya and Lankarama are places of religious value.

  • Day 5 : (02 Nights): Anuradhapura - Trincomalee

    Literally in a world of its own, Trincomalee is a grand city enriched with history, culture and untamed beauty. Its myriad coves and bays offers an ideal location for scuba diving, bird watching and swimming whilst its stretch of wide, white sandy beaches invites you to a game on the sands or a snooze under the umbrella of the palm leaves. Trincomalee is a proud city with its legendary Koneshwaram temple and the legacy of colonialism still evidencing past grandeur.

    Beyond all this, the waters off Trincomalee have been designated as the hot spot for whales with famed cetalogist Roger Payne commenting that you have to go to Sri Lanka if you want to see the whales. The film “Whales Weep Not” filmed in the waters of Trincomalee Bay inspires conservation and sustainable tourism of these amazing cetaceans.

  • Day 6 : (02 Nights): Anuradhapura - Trincomalee

    Batticaloa is re-known for its beautiful lagoons and colorful culture, possessing a unique history of being one of the favorite colonies from ancient times. You will experience a sunny climate throughout the year, affected only by one seasonal monsoon.

The Royal Palace, now known as the “The Temple of the Tooth Relic” (of Lord Buddha), situated right beside the Kandy lake, gives a magical beauty to the city. Kandy is also home to one of the largest botanical gardens in South East Asia. The Gardens dates back to the 14th century and boasts over 4000 species of plants and many trees with significant histories. Visitors from the UK will be particularly interested in the Cannonball Tree planted by King George V. The tree is bent with its fruits, which resemble cannonballs hence the name.
