Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive in Delhi

  Arrive Delhi, meeting assistance on arrival & transfer to hotel.
  
  Afternoon visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Overnight Delhi.
• Day 2 : Delhi - Jaipur

  Morning visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate ( War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House - later continue driving towards Jaipur. On arrival check in your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

• Day 3 : Jaipur

  Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Ascend the Fort on Elephant back.
  The capital of Rajasthan was given a color coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory, & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Later in the evening proceed to Birla Temple – a marvel in marble and see the evening ceremonies being performed by the locals. Overnight Jaipur.

• Day 4 : Jaipur - Agra

  Chitwan A daMorning drive to Agra via visiting Fatehpur sikri & Villages - Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. On the way, we will also stop at a local village which Will give you an insight of the living conditions as well as their hospitality. Arrive Agra & check-in at hotel. Overnight Agra.

• Day 5 : Agra

  Visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal Remains (Taj mahal closed on Friday’s). Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. The return from the Fort back.To your hotel is planned by a Tonga Ride – a horse driven carriage which used to be the Mode of transportation in the good olden days. Evening we will again to see Taj Mahal by sunset – from the gardens of Taj Khema Restaurant. Enjoy high tea viewing Taj mahal, which will be different from the morning. Overnight Agra. (Taj is closed on Fridays)

• Day 6 : Agra Jhansi - Khajuraho

  In time transfer to Agra station to board shatabdi express at 0815 hours for Jhansi. Arrive Jhansi 1040 hours and visit Jhansi Fort. Later drive to Khajuraho via visiting Orchha Orchha's grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time & a rich legacy to the ages. For, on this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly: the palaces and the temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine glory. Jahangir Mahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chhatris has a spectacular view of soaring temple spires & cenotaphs. On arrival in Khajuraho, check in your hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 7 : Khajuraho

  Morning visit The world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna and Adinath. Afternooon we will visit Ayurvedic Centre where they will explain how does this medicine help in rejuvenating you. A 30 minutes oil massage will also be provided to You. Overnight at the hotel.

• Day 8 : Khajuraho Jhansi

  Morning drive to Jhansi station to board train Indore Rajendranagar express at 2045 hours. Night on board..
• Day 9 : Jhansi varanasi

  Arrive Varanasi at 1140 hours & transfer to hotel. Daytime is free and later in the Evening we shall take you to Ghats of River Ganga to see the evening ceremonies Which will be something very interesting for you. Viewing of Aarti on the banks of river Ganges.
• Day 10 : Varanasi Lumbini

  Early morning visit to river Ganges to see sunrise & boat ride. Boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Later visit city - Half day, sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Bharat Mata Temple with a big relief map of India in marble, Durga Temple,Tulsi Manas Mandir,Banaras Hindu University which has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Moghul Emperor Aurangazeb built on the site of an ancient Hindu Temple.
  Early afternoon leave by road for Lumbini, After crossing the Indo/Nepal border at Sanauli/Lumbini, you will arrive at your hotel. Later in the evening visit City - In the village of Lumbini in Nepal, the Queen Mahamaya gave birth to Prince Siddhartha who later became the Buddha. Over 2000 years ago the Emperor Ashoka set up a commemorative pillar here. The pillar carries the inscription -Here the Buddha was born-. Another shrine preserves an ancient image depicting the nativity of the Lord. Overnight Lumbini.

• Day 11 : Lumbini Chitwan National Park

  MMorning drive to Chitwan National Park, check in at hotel. Chitwan National Park which is the natural habitat of the Asiatic tiger & leopard. The wild life activities here include jungle drive, Short nature walks & night game viewing by spotlight. Sightseeing here includes one horned rhinoceros the elusive sloth bear,gaur four species of dear, wild boar giant lesser pied hornbill, marsh mugger and the rare gharial crocodile. Overnight Chitwan National Park.
• Day 12 : Chitwan National Park

  Morning and afternoon visit to the Park.
• Day 13 : Chitwan National Park Kathmandu

  Morning drive to Kathamndu , check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight Kathamndu.
• Day 14 : Kathmandu

  Morning visit City & Swyambhunath - Visit the Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter,Mahadev and Parvati Temple and other temples. Also visit Swayambhunath,the 2000 years old site with 5 dhyani Buddhas enshrined at the base of the Stupa. Afternoon free. Overnight at the hotel..
• Day 15 : Kathmandu

  Morning visit Patan, the old Newar city visiting Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, The sky piercing temple of Teleju, the statue of Yogendra Malla, temples, etc. Also visit the Pashupatinath Temple which is noted for its erotic wood carvings of the struts. Afternoon free. Overnight at the hotel.
• Day 16 : Kathamandu

  Day at leisure. Overnight Kathamandu.
• Day 17 : Departure

  Transfer to airport for return flight. .
