The Fort spreads over 5 kms on a hill. It houses a palace intricately decorated with long imprinted boards and latticed windows delicately shaped from red sandstone. It also has a museum with a rich group of palanquins, howdahs, regal cradles, small paintings of various schools, folk music gadgets, costumes and exciting armoury. Standing arrogant to an altitude of 100 mtrs over the city with its ninety nine pillars, the fort is grand sight in the afternoon sun. The fort is entered through a frightening series of enormous gates foremost to a large courtyard. Also visit Patwon-Ki-Havelis, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli and Gandhi Sagar Tank.
