Day 1 : Mathura Vrindavan Tour starts from Mathura
Location 1: Krishna Janambhoomi
Krishna Janambhoomi Mandir, one of India’s most revered temples, is thought to be the location of Lord Krishna’s birth. The temple is significant not just from a religious standpoint but also historically since King Kans, Lord Krishna’s maternal uncle, was imprisoned there in a cell. King Kans’ brutality toward the parents of Lord Krishna is symbolised by the stone-walled cell. When visiting the temple, which is a popular pilgrimage destination in India, pilgrims are advised to dress modestly.
Location 2: Dwarkadhish Temple
One of the oldest and most well-known Hindu sanctuaries in Mathura is Shri Dwarkadhish Temple, which is situated near the northern boundary. The shrine is devoted to Lord Dwarkanath, a manifestation of Lord Krishna who reigned over Dwarka (hence the name Dwarkadheesh). The black marble idol has been expertly sculpted. Seth Gokuldas Parikh, the wealthy Gwalior province treasurer, built the shrine in 1815. The temple, one of the most revered locations in the city, is also a work of art in architecture, with huge pillars and vibrant floral patterns. While visiting the shrine, devotees are advised to dress modestly.
Location 3: Kusum Sarovar
The name Kusum Sarovar was given to a historic pond since it is thought that Radha used to visit it to pick flowers and see Lord Krishna. It has stairs on all sides and is 450 feet long and about 60 feet deep. The Kadamba trees, Lord Krishna’s favourite tree, are plentiful here. Beautiful buildings built by the 18th-century ruler of Bharatpur, Jawahar Singh, surround the Sarovar. It is situated between Govardhan and Radha Kund, 26 kilometres from Mathura and 25 km from Vrindavan. Don’t forget to visit neighbouring Radha Kund if you plan to visit this location. Additionally, there are numerous local temples and ashrams where this can be combined.
Location 4: Radha Kund
In Mathura, Radha Kund is close to Govardhan Hill. The Lord Krishna and Radha Devotees regard the two holy water tanks, Radha Kund and Shyam Kund, located next to each other as the most sacred locations. These kinds of water are regarded as sacred, pure, and having healing abilities. This location has historical significance since it symbolises the pure love of Lord Krishna and Radha, his soul mate. Legend has it that Lord Krishna killed the demon bull here. Soon after, Radha gave Lord Krishna the advice to wash his sins away by bathing in a number of holy rivers. Krishna, on the other hand, chuckled at the thought of Radha and stamped his foot. It is said that the location where he injured his foot came from a Kund, or pond. It is said that devotees who have this belief and wish to experience the same level of passionate love that Radha and Lord Krishna did for one another might take a bath in the Radha and Krishna Kund. Radha Damodar Temple, Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, and Dwarkadhish Temple are more nearby attractions.
Day 2 : Mathura – Vrindavan
Location 1: Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan
Madan Mohan Temple is one of the oldest and most regarded temples among all the well-liked tourist sites in Vrindavan. The temple’s exterior, which is constructed in the Nagra architectural style, is remarkably spectacular despite its age. Near Kaliya Ghat, the 50-foot-tall Madan Mohan Temple overlooks the revered Yamuna River. One of the most well-known Goswami shrines in Uttar Pradesh is this one. The name of the temple has a lovely meaning; the terms Madan and Mohan stand for “One Who Charms” and “Kamadev,” respectively, the god of love and desire. It is entirely appropriate that the temple’s presiding deity is Lord Madan Mohan, a charmer of Kamdev.
Location 2: Jugal Kishore Temple
The killing of the horse demon Keshi along the Yamuna River is described in one of the legends. Today, a temple known as the Keshi Ghat Temple, also called the Jugal Kishore or Jugal Kishore Temple, marks the location where he carried out the brave deed. The legend surrounding the temple dates back thousands of years, although the building itself is relatively young. One of the oldest still standing temples in Vrindavan is the Jugal Kishore Temple, which was constructed in 1627. One of the temples that the Gaudiya Vaishnavas could build was the Jugal Kishore Temple.
Location 3: Banke Bihari Temple
In the holy city of Vrindavan in the Mathura district, there is a Hindu temple called Shri Banke Bihari Mandir that is devoted to Lord Krishna. This temple, one of the most renowned in the nation, is one of the seven temples of the Thakur of Vrindavan, along with Sri Radhavallabh Ji, Shri Govind Dev Ji, and four other temples. The Lord dislikes the sound of these instruments, hence there are no bells or conchs on the premises of the Banke Bihari temple, which is an unusual fact. The meditative chanting of “Radha Naam” invokes the divine.
Location 4: Sri Govind Devji Temple
The Govind Devji Temple has stood as an architectural wonder for the past five centuries in the town where the Hindu god Lord Krishna is said to have spent his formative years. The red sandstone temple, which is located in Lord Krishna’s childhood house, is devoted to him. In addition to being close to Gokul, where Sri Krishna is thought to have spent his early years of boyhood, Vrindavan is a twin city to Mathura, where he was born.
Among the numerous other sanctuaries devoted to the Lord, the Govind Devji Temple is regarded as one of the holiest shrines there. The Govind Devji Temple’s Lord Krishna idol is supposed to have resembled the lord’s visage when he was born, despite the fact that the original idol is no longer there. Hindu pilgrims find the majestic temple to be a wonder as they can see the sanctity of the location where the Lord is said to have once lived and worked all of his miracles.
Location 5: ISKCON Temple, Vrindavan
ISCON Temple in Vrindavan, also known as the Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir, is a prominent Hindu temple and an important spiritual center. It is affiliated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), which is a worldwide organization dedicated to the teachings of Lord Krishna.
The ISCON Temple in Vrindavan is situated on the Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg and was built in 1975. It is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his divine brother Balarama. The temple complex is expansive and beautifully designed, with intricate architecture and ornate decorations.
The main deities worshiped in the temple are Lord Krishna and Balarama, who are believed to be the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The idols are adorned with opulent clothing and jewelry. The temple also houses shrines dedicated to other deities such as Radha, Sita-Rama, and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Location 6: Prem Mandir
One of the main highlights of Prem Mandir is its mesmerizing light and sound show that takes place in the evening. The temple is adorned with colorful LED lights, which illuminate the entire complex, creating a captivating visual spectacle. The light and sound show narrates the pastimes of Lord Krishna and provides a spiritual and immersive experience for the visitors.
Devotees and visitors can also participate in the daily aartis (devotional rituals), listen to bhajans (devotional songs), and engage in prayer and meditation within the serene environment of Prem Mandir. The temple attracts a large number of devotees and tourists throughout the year, who come to seek blessings and experience the divine love and devotion associated with Lord Krishna and Radha.

After a filling breakfast this morning, you return to Delhi. Although the trip is over, the pleasant memory of the location endures.
