Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Coimbatore to Kodaikanal

Start your journey from Coimbatore early in the morning (around 7:00 AM). The drive to Kodaikanal takes around 5 to 6 hours (about 170 km), so leaving early will give you plenty of time to explore once you arrive.
Upon arrival in Kodaikanal around noon, check into your hotel or homestay, freshen up, and have lunch.
In the afternoon, head to Kodaikanal Lake. You can enjoy a boat ride on the serene lake or take a peaceful stroll around it. There's also the option of cycling or even horseback riding near the lake.
Later, take a walk along Coaker's Walk, a beautiful pathway along the edge of the hill, offering spectacular views of the valley below, especially around sunset. It’s a great spot for photography.
Enjoy a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant or at your hotel to experience some traditional Tamil cuisine.

Day 2 : Explore Kodaikanal

After a hearty breakfast, head out for a day of exploration.
Start with a visit to Dolphin's Nose, a popular viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It’s about 8 km from the town, and the hike to the viewpoint is a short, scenic one.
Next, visit Pillar Rocks, a stunning natural formation of tall rocks rising up to 400 feet. It's a beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery and gives you fantastic photo opportunities.
In the afternoon, explore Bear Shola Falls, a hidden gem and a peaceful waterfall nestled in the woods. The walk to the falls is short, but the surroundings are tranquil and relaxing.
Later, head to Bryant Park, a beautifully maintained botanical garden with various flowers and plants. It’s a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
If time permits, you can also visit Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, one of the oldest solar observatories in Asia, or take a walk through Green Valley View (formerly known as Suicide Point), which offers stunning panoramic views of the valleys and hills.
In the evening, return to your hotel and enjoy a leisurely dinner. You can try local delicacies or enjoy a warm meal to end the day.

Day 3 : Kodaikanal to Coimbatore

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and head to Chettiar Park, a small, peaceful park with beautiful flower beds and greenery, perfect for a relaxed stroll.
Then, visit Kodaikanal Viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys, providing yet another beautiful spot for photography.
Afterward, start your drive back to Coimbatore. On your way, you can stop at scenic spots for photos and breaks. You’ll reach Coimbatore by late afternoon or early evening, around 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, depending on the traffic.
