Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Day 1

  Your private guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Reykjavik, to kick of this epic two week journey around Iceland. The first day includes the Golden circle route and highland roads. Destination for the evening is Borgarfjordur, west Iceland.
• Day 2 : Day 2

  On this day, we head to the Snaefellsnes peninsula for a full day of exploration. Snaefellsnes is the setting of novels and movies such as Journey to the center of the earth and the area will not leave you disappointed. Volcanic craters, lava caves and stunning bird cliffs are on the agenda for today. Overnight in Snaefellsnes.
• Day 3 : Day 3

  Today we travel by boat over to the westernmost part of Iceland; The Westfjords. On the way over Breidafjordur bay, the ferry stops at the island of Flatey, where you can spend a quiet day of exploration. Once you reach the westfjords, our destination is Latrabjarg (the very westernmost part of Iceland, and Europe) where you can see puffins and other local birds all over (mid may-mid august). Overnight near Latrabjarg or Patreksfjordur.
• Day 4 : Day 4

  We travel the shore of many scenic fjords, beautiful beaches and charming fishing villages, until we reach the majestic fjord Arnarfjordur. At the bottom of the fjord, we come across the unique waterfall Dynjandi, with its seven levels of plunging water. Overnight in the westfjords.
• Day 5 : Day 5

• Day 6 : Day 6

  Today we are north bound, exploring the country, charming churches and the Icelandic horse en route. Overnight in the second largest town in Iceland, the capital of the north, Akureyri
• Day 7 : Day 7

  We explore the north in the next two days, sights including Godafoss waterfall, lake Myvatn and Dimmuborgir, craters of Hverfjall and the highlands near Askja and Viti. Take a dip in the Nature baths at Myvatn and venture inland for highland exploration.
• Day 8 : Day 8

• Day 9 : Day 9

  Today we travel to Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall, in Vatnjokull national park. From there we head towards the eastfjords, with their looming mountains and winding roads. Overnight in the Eastfjords.
• Day 10 : Day 10

  We continue along the eastfjords, with glacial vistas and stunning coastline. We visit Skaftafell national park and Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon en route. Overnight near Skaftafell.
• Day 11 : Day 11

  Today we explore what we have left of Skaftafell national park, before heading along the south coast. The itinerary includes stunning waterfalls, black sand beaches and mountainous cliffs. Overnight on the south coast.
• Day 12 : Day 12

  Today we head back inland, to explore Thorsmork nature reserve. Thorsmork is surrounded by glaciers on three sides, and you must cross several rivers and streams to reach it. From there we head further inland, through Fjallabak. Overnight in the area.
• Day 13 : Day 13

  Destination of today is Landmannalaugar geothermal area, where we will enjoy hikes in the magical, colorful hills. This is your unique opportunity to soak in a fully natural geothermal pool, so make sure you have your swim gear handy.
• Day 14 : Day 14

  Today, we head back towards Reykjavik, to tie a neat bow around this epic journey around Iceland!
