3 Day Kakadu / Litchfield 4wd Safari from Darwin Package

Package Overview

This Kakadu safari in style is suitable for all age groups and is an authentic Top End quality adventure experience. Travelling with maximum 16 people in a purpose built 4WD vehicle, we stay in purpose built campsites with permanenet safari tents.

We enjoy special indigenous experiences and explore the landscapes of Kakadu and LItchfield National Parks. We travel on rocky 4 wheel drive tracks and search out crocodiles and other wildlife on a Mary River wetland cruise.

This is a very special trip and amazing way to see and experience Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Litchfield National Park, Waterholes and Aboriginal Culture

  Starting from Darwin at 6.30am we head into the heart of Litchfield National Park. Exploring waterfalls, spring fed streams and sandstone escarpments we swim, hike enjoy the beauty of this amazing region. We visit Wangi Falls (subject to wet season) enjoy a delicious lunch, and then experience a 2 hour indigenous cultural experience which will leave you with a lasting impression and better understanding of aboriginal culture. You have a choice of sleeping in permanenet safari tents or air conditioned lodge room.

• Day 2 : Kakadu, Crocodile Cruise and 4wd Adventure

  Day 2 of your 4 wheel drive Kakadu/Litchfield Safari tour we have an early rise to make the most of the day. We start with a private 2 hour cruise spotting crocodiles, birdlife and other wildlife including buffalo. We head off the beaten track and explore Twin Falls with a boat shuttle so we can swim in the pristine pools. We visit Jim Jim Falls swimming in the rockpools surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs. We enjoy a tasty lunch, and after an amazing day we again camp at our comfortable camp in the National Park with a choice of under the stars in swags or our private safari tent campsite or our air conditioned lodge room.

• Day 3 : Kakadu Sights, Lookouts and More

  Day 3 of your 4 wheel drive Kakadu / Litchfield Safari we set the scene with a hike to Nawurlandja lookout. We enjoy the spectacular views of the escarpment country, Nourlangie and Anbangbang Billabong. We visit the culturally significant Ubirr, in the East Alligator region of the park. We learn the story of the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for the amazing panoramic views. After lunch we visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, see the audio visual presentation of the Marrawuddi gallery showcasing Aboriginal art by artists in the region. On the return to Darwin we visit the Mamukala wetlands and return to Darwin after 3 magical days in the top end.
