Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam as you set off for Udzungwa National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a scenic walking trek through the stunning Udzungwa Mountains, where you’ll explore the beauty of the Asanje Waterfalls. During the trek, which lasts approximately three hours, keep an eye out for friendly wildlife that may cross your path, enhancing your connection to this pristine environment. After your trek, you’ll continue your journey to Mikumi, where you will check in at Camp Bastian for a comfortable two-night stay, complete with full board accommodations. Enjoy the serenity of nature as you unwind and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2 : Day 2 Full Driving Safari - Mikumi National Park

Day 2:
Full-Day Safari in Mikumi National Park
Get ready for an exciting day of wildlife exploration! After breakfast, you’ll set off with packed lunch boxes from the lodge, heading to the entrance of Mikumi National Park, located just a short distance away. Upon arrival and check-in, prepare to immerse yourself in one of Tanzania's most renowned national parks, second only to the Serengeti.

Today’s focus will be on searching for big cats like lions and leopards, along with other rare species. As you drive through the park, you’ll encounter large herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, impalas, and various antelope species, as well as lions, wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, and a diverse array of birdlife, including crocodiles basking in the sun.

Around midday, you’ll take a break at a designated resting point to enjoy your lunch and refreshments while soaking in the surroundings. Afterward, the adventure continues with more game drives until late afternoon. Finally, you’ll return to Camp Bastian for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay, reflecting on the incredible sights of the day.

Sunrise Maasai Village Tour & Return to Dar Es Salaam
Wake up at 5:30 AM for an enriching experience as you depart for a Maasai village. Accompanied by your driver, you’ll journey into the bush to discover the authentic lifestyle of the Maasai people. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with the locals, learning about their vibrant culture through traditional dances, insights into family life, marriage customs, and the economic activities they pursue to sustain their livelihoods. A knowledgeable Maasai guide, fluent in English, will accompany you, enhancing your understanding of their customs and traditions.

After immersing yourself in the local culture, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast around 8:00 AM. Following your meal, take some time to pack your belongings before setting off back to Dar Es Salaam. Your journey will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport, leaving you with lasting memories of your adventures in Tanzania.
