Pick up from your hotel at 0730hrs. Safari Briefing and passing the majestic Mt. Kenya en route to the open Savannah of Samburu Game Reserve arriving in good time for lunch at the lodge. Here we find palms and woodland by the Ewaso Nyiro River which provides water for the animals and some relief from the equatorial sun. Late afternoon game drive.
Breakfast at the lodge. Full day in Samburu with picnic lunch. Optional visit to Samburu villages. The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, gravy zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been
identified in the sanctuaries.
Early Morning Game Drive. Breakfast at the Lodge. After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon where the tour ends. Drop off at the Airport for your flight back home. (Option of a City Tour including Karen Blixen and Giraffe Centre)
