Package Overview

This is a short safari featuring Maasai Mara Game Reserve - The Kenya\'s most popular game Reserve, home to the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. It was recently name as the 7th wonder of the natural world due to the annual wildebeest migration. A million wildebeest... each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi/Maasai Mara

  Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, arriving Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Elephants_7Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
  Approx Transit time: 5 hrs.
  Meal plan: {L, D}.
• Day 2 : Maasai Mara

  Full day spent exploring the Reserve. Game drives are flexible, with option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Kenya's greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Mara River, while cheetahs prowl the plains. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Mara offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa; great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of elands, buffaloes, impalas and Grant's gazelles. All meals and overnight Mara Sopa Lodge.

• Day 3 : Maasai Mara/Nairobi

  Early morning pre-game drive, returning to the Lodge for late breakfast. Depart Mara and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 1400hrs. Transfer to your city hotel or airport for outbound flight home.
  End of services.
