Tracking chimpanzees in their natural habitat, as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor, is a thrilling experience. Though they can be difficult to spot, you will be in no doubt of their presence as the forest is alive with their noisy calls. The chimpanzees are considered to be man’s closest relative, sharing 98% of the human DNA. It is extremely interesting to see some of their human mannerisms; they can be taught how to use basic sign language and are found to be amusing. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Kigali International Airport/Pick-Up at your Hotel

  You will be met by Golden Rwanda tour and travel safari guide and proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. On your arrival, you may decide to carry a guided nature walk. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top view Hotel.

• Day 2 : Chimpanzee Tracking

  Early start trekking for the chimpanzees, this can take anything from a few hours to a full day depending on where the chimpanzees are. It should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. There are several other primates in Nyungwe such as the Rwenzori colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey and the Grey cheeked Mangabey. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.

• Day 3 : Departure and Transfert back to Kigali - Visit Rwanda National Museum
