Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive

  You will depart for Masai mara wildebeest tracking safari at 8:30am going through the Great Rift Valley to see dormant volcanic mountains Suswa and Longonot and up the western escarpment onto Mau hills. You will then descend into the Masai mara plains arriving in time for a warm lunch.
  
  You will go for an evening game drive to track the wildebeest migration inside Masai mara Kenia. The size of the Masai mara wildebeest migration will amaze you with gnus flowing all over the plains as far as the eye can see. They move and feed on the grass like living lawn mowers that you can see the difference in grass height along their wake.
  Dinner and overnight will be at your budget wildebeest tracking camping site in Masai mara.

• Day 2 : Masai Mara Game Reserve

  Early morning breakfast in the camp and then depart for the mara river crossing for an all day wildebeest migration tracking game drive. You will drive to the mara river with an en route game drive and arrive to pick a spot to watch the greatest event of the migration.
  
  The wildebeests / gnu / gnou will start to stream in their hundreds into the water and jumping high and into the water with a big splash in an effort to confuse the crocodiles. The current is strong and the flooded river mara is extremely dangerous. The animals fight with all their might and make it across the river only to meet a welcoming committee of lions, leopards and cheetahs. Many animals die at the mara river crossing but even many more make it through every year. It is one of the most dramatic and chaotic stampede you will ever see.
  
  Enjoy a bush lunch at the river and later drive back to camp enjoying a further game drives in the Masai mara reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Masai mara migration tracking camp.

• Day 3 : Departure

  Enjoy an early breakfast at the camp and go for your last game drive in the Masai mara this morning. You will look out for any animals that you may not have seen yet. Your driver will drive into cranies and into crooks to find any missing animal in your list.
  
  Later return to camp and check out for Nairobi arriving late afternoon.
