Day 1 : Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
Your safari adventure begins early this morning with a 6:30 a.m. departure from your hotel in Dar es Salaam, heading towards Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, you'll settle into your accommodation and prepare for an exciting afternoon boat safari.
At 4:00 p.m., embark on a serene boat trip along the Rufiji River. This is the perfect opportunity to soak in the breathtaking scenery and wildlife of one of Tanzania's most picturesque waterways. The Rufiji River, with its expansive width and network of lakes, is home to a variety of fascinating creatures.
Day 2 : Game Drives in Nyerere National Park
Prepare for an exhilarating full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park, a vast wilderness teeming with diverse wildlife. Your experienced safari guide will lead you through the park’s expansive landscapes, highlighting the park's most sought-after species and offering insights into their behaviors and habitats.
Day 3 : Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam
Morning Activities:
Sunrise Bush Walk: Start your day with an early breakfast at the camp. Following breakfast, embark on a serene sunrise bush walk, an immersive way to connect with the wilderness. This 2-3 hour walk, beginning around 6:00 am to 6:30 am, offers a unique perspective of the park’s flora and smaller wildlife. Experience the tranquility of the early morning bush, where your guide will share fascinating insights into the ecosystem, track animals, and highlight the intricate details often missed on a vehicle safari. Enjoy a refreshing cup of tea paired with homemade biscuits or doughnuts before setting out.
Post-Walk Activities:
Return Journey: After your bush walk, return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast if you haven't already eaten. Then, begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam, reflecting on the diverse experiences of your safari.
Your journey concludes upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, where you can continue with your onward travel plans or explore the city, having experienced the raw beauty and wildlife of Nyerere National Park.
