Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati - Shillong (120 km / approx. 3 hours drive)

  Early morning you are received by our representative from the Railway Station and after breakfast, at some restaurant or Dhaba, you are
  transferred to your hotel in Shillong. Shillong became the first capital of the State of Meghalaya. Located in undulating pine-covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496 m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several
  waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. We stop to visit the Umiam Lake also known as 'Bara Pani' which is a vast and scenic reservoir
  surrounded by lush green hills. It is also a popular destination for water sports. On arrival, check in to the hotel in Shillong. Early departure from Guwahati is the key if you want to cover all the spots in Shillong. Sightseeing options: 1. Ward's Lake, 2. Shillong Peak, 3. Sweet Falls or
  Bishop Falls, 4. Lady Hyder Park & 5. Spread Eagle Falls.

• Day 2 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee (180 km /approx. 7 hours drive )

  After a hearty breakfast and check out from Shillong Hotel, a drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.) is the wettest place in the world. Later in the afternoon, proceed on a city tour of Cherrapunjee. We visit the beautiful and the tallest plunge waterfall in India known as Nohkalikai Falls. Enjoy the sight of water rushing down from 1,100 feet through the green forest into a deep waterhole that has unusually blue water like a lagoon. A short trek through some of the amazing terrain and watching a great variety of birds as we reach the entrance of Mawsmai Caves. These limestone caves have the distinction of being the only cave in Meghalaya that is lit enough to enable visitors to explore the natural formations in awe. Then, visit the Seven Sister Falls also known as ' Nohsngithiang Falls' is a seven segmented waterfall that plunges over the top of a limestone cliff. The view is spectacular which leaves one spellbound. Lastly, visit the Elephant Falls for some breathtaking views. A British officer named this falls owing to the presence of an elephant-shaped rock on one side of the falls. This rock was later destroyed due to an earthquake. At Elephanta Falls, one can get very close and enjoy its serenity. Sight Seeing options in Cherrapunjee are-1. Mawsmai Cave & Ecopark. 2. Seven sister falls 3. NohKaLikai Falls 4. Dahlen Falls, 5. • Day 3 : Shillong to Kragsuri Waterfalls (89 Km / 2.40 Hr) & return back to Guwahati ( 157 Km / 4 hrs approx)’

  Today after breakfast you visit a very uncommon trail in Jowai and visit one of the most beautiful parts of Meghalaya especially the Krangsuri waterfall in Jowai. Then you visit the Nartiang monolith and proceed back to Guwahati. Overnight stay in Guwahati Hotel.

• Day 4 : Guwahati Tour & Departure

  Today early morning you visit Kamakhya Mandir for Puja or Darshan. After the Darshan, you return back to the hotel for breakfast and then proceed to check out. You can visit Umanada temple in the middle of the mighty Brahmaputra. Later you can shop in the Fancy Bazar for the famous Assam Silk, etc. Evening you can visit the famous Alfresco Grand- Sunset Cruise. They charge Rs.450 per head which is not included in the package and you have to pay upfront. Later on, you are dropped at the Railway station for your onward journey back home. End of Tour.
