Flying over the Serengeti offers an exciting aerial preview of the adventure that awaits below. As your plane descends towards Seronera Airstrip, the clear skies provide a perfect opportunity to spot some of the Serengeti's iconic wildlife. Over the next few days, you’ll experience the park through game drives, walking safaris, and even night safaris! After your unforgettable journey, you’ll fly back to Zanzibar. Alternatively, the trip can start and end in Arusha if preferred.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Zanzibar - Serengeti National Park

  During a scenic 1.5-hour flight from Zanzibar Airport, you’ll soar over the Indian Ocean, Tanzania’s vast hinterland, the stunning Ngorongoro Crater Highlands, and the endless plains of the Serengeti, before descending to Seronera Airstrip. The views from above are truly breathtaking. Within half an hour of disembarking, you’ll be in a 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof, ready to immerse yourself in the wonders of the Serengeti. Around midday, a relaxing picnic lunch will provide an opportunity to stretch your legs before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, you’ll be driven to your accommodation at Serengeti Serena Lodge, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by the beauty of the park.

• Day 2 : Game drive to Serengeti National Park

  Today, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, where you’ll explore the vast landscapes that are home to one of nature’s greatest spectacles – the annual wildebeest migration. Depending on the timing of your visit and rainfall patterns, you may be fortunate enough to witness this incredible event. The Serengeti’s expansive terrain, nourished by several rivers, is teeming with wildlife. As you traverse this remarkable ecosystem, you’re likely to encounter herds of giraffes, elephants, hippos, elands, and a variety of other iconic species. It’s a day filled with unforgettable sights and experiences.

• Day 3 : Walking safari, sundowner & night game drive

  Enjoy a leisurely morning with a well-deserved sleep-in and some relaxing downtime at the camp. You can unwind on the patio with a good book or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. Later this afternoon, you’ll embark on a unique walking safari, offering an unforgettable opportunity to explore the Serengeti on foot. The walk lasts about two hours and ends with a refreshing sundowner, overlooking the stunning Serengeti landscape.
  
  After returning to your accommodation for a quick dinner, get ready for a thrilling night game drive. Equipped with a spotlight, your vehicle will allow you to spot the first glimmers of wildlife eyes reflecting in the dark. The night comes alive with a different set of creatures, including bushbabies, civets, genets, and perhaps even a rare aardvark or porcupine. As you journey through the darkness, you'll experience the mysterious world of nocturnal animals, with shifting shadows, unique sounds, and the excitement of discovering the wild after dark.

• Day 4 : Seronera - Zanzibar

  After a restful night’s sleep, it’s time to depart in the morning. Your vehicle will transfer you to Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar Airport. As you take off, enjoy the breathtaking aerial views of Serengeti National Park and the stunning landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro as the plane makes a brief stop in Arusha. Finally, you’ll land at Zanzibar Airport, with a camera full of unforgettable memories to share with friends and family, cherishing the incredible experiences from your African adventure
