Your journey begins in Arusha, the starting point for Tanzania’s renowned northern circuit. Upon arrival, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to your lodge. If you arrive early, you have the option to explore Arusha city with your driver at no additional cost before heading to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up from the hotel around 8:30 AM where you and your driver-guide will plan simple logistics like shopping stops, bureau de change, or you can head straight for the Tarangire main gate. On your way you will be enchanted by the bright smiles of the indigenous Maasai residents as they walk their cows in search of pastures. You can ask the driver to stop for a chance to interact and take photos.

The day starts with an early descent into the crater, offering you a chance to experience what is often referred to as the Garden of Eden. The Ngorongoro Crater, recognized as the largest caldera in the world, spans 19 km in diameter and has a circumference of 260 km. With its abundant food and water supply, it serves as a year-round wildlife haven. Inside this 30,000-hectare crater, approximately 25,000 large animals thrive, including majestic lions, the endangered black rhinos, and magnificent elephants.

Be sure to bring your binoculars, as Lake Manyara National Park is renowned for its unique tree-climbing lions and diverse populations of primates, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. For lunch, we’ll head to a picturesque picnic spot overlooking the lake, allowing you to enjoy your meal while being serenaded by the melodic songs of colorful birds nearby.
