Day 1 : Guwahati – Shillong

The Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour package begins with your arrival at the Guwahati station/airport. Meet your tour representative and get greeted. Get assisted with transfer to Shillong. The drive from Guwahati to Shillong takes around 3.5 hours through the scenic landscape.

On the way to Shillong, stop and stretch by the Barapani Lake. Surrounded by the beautiful Sylvan hills, it is the biggest artificial lake in the state of Meghalaya. Also known as the Umiam Lake, it is one of the most popular sites in Shillong.

Day 2 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong

Start the day early. After breakfast at the hotel, leave by road to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, Cherrapunji. The one way journey to Cherrapunji is a distance of 6 kms.

Cherrapunji is one of the highlights of a Guwahati Shillong tour itinerary. On the way come across several waterfalls, limestone caves, striking root bridges, and other natural sites to provide several activities. The tour itinerary includes visits to the Spectacular Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawsmai Cave and the Thangkharang Park.

Day 3 : Shillong - Guwahati

Start the day with breakfast, after which head for a half day sightseeing tour of Shillong. Pay a visit to the Japanese style park of Lady Hydari Park, decorated with roses and other flowers in a large stretch. After enjoying the sights of Guwahati, head to the next stop of the Guwahati Shillong trip.

The journey to Guwahati from Shillong takes around 3.5 hours to reach. On your arrival in Guwahati, check in at the hotel. Later, get ready to enjoy the sights and activities in Guwahati. Go out for a visit to the Kalaksgetra. Here you can enjoy the exhibits of a light and sound show displaying Assamese culture and history. You can also opt for an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra.
