Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Manali to Jobri to Chikka (3,140m) (Trek for 2-3 hours)

  Upon your arrival at Manali, our tour guide will meet you at the bus stand and escort you to the hotel. Here you can freshen up and relish your morning meal. After that, you will be leaving for Jobri nullah by taxi. The actual trek will begin from Alain Duhangan Hydel Power Project site. Lunch is planned on the way. After walking for a while you will cross a wooden bridge towards the night camping site at Chikka and will sight the Rani nullah. The camping site is set amid the scenic beauty of alpine meadow.

• Day 2 : Chikka to Balugera (3,770m) (Trek for 4-5 hours)

  Today you will be heading to Balugera which serves as the base camp for Hampta Pass. The way is full of sharp climbs all the way to Juara traversing a number of small streams. On the way stop to have lunch packed beforehand.
  
  You will be staying in Balugera on day 2 as the destination is in a shaded area and hence the weather tends to get cold post sunset.
  
  You will be staying at a campsite at Balugera.

• Day 3 : Balugera to Shea Goru (3,815m) (5-6 hours) over Hampta Pass (4,270m)

  Day 3 will bring the real challenge as you will be crossing the highest point of the trek i.e., Hampta pass 4,270m). The way to the top of the pass is going to be topsy-turvy with a few snow and rocky patches. As you reach the top, the feeling cannot be put into words. From the Hampta top, you can easily enjoy the mind-blowing view of the Pir Panjal peaks.
  
  The way back is quite sharp, so be careful and steady with your steps. You will be staying at the campsite of Shea Goru sitting close to a small stream.

• Day 4 : Shea Goru to Chhatru (3,315m) (3-4 hours trek) & drive to Chandratal and back

  On day 4, you will be crossing the river to turn right and continue your journey. You have to cross the river to arrive at the left bank of River Chandra which springs from the Bara Shigri glacier. From the left embankment, the way to Chhatru is straight walk on flatland. On your way, relish the beauty of nature and in no time you will reach Chhatru. From here we will be taking a taxi to Chandratal (2-3 hours), the moon shaped lake close to the quaint town of Batal. After spending some time here, we will be leaving for Chhatru.
  
  Night stay in Chhatru camp.

• Day 5 : Chhatru to Manali (84 km by road 4-5 hours)

  We will be starting early today to avoid the traffic at Rohtang Pass. Post breakfast, we will begin the road trip for Manali crossing Rohtang Pass.
  
  On arrival at Manali, you can choose to stay overnight to relax or continue the journey.
