The Silk Road was an ancient network of trade routes that connected the East and West. It was central to cultural interaction between the regions for many centuries. The Silk Road primarily refers to the terrestrial routes connecting East Asia and Southeast Asia with East Africa, West Asia and Southern Europe.

The Silk Road derives its name from the lucrative trade in silk carried out along its length, beginning in the Han dynasty (207 BCE–220 CE). The Han dynasty expanded the Central Asian section of the trade routes around 114 BCE through the missions and explorations of the Chinese imperial envoy Zhang Qian.The Chinese took great interest in the safety of their trade products and extended the Great Wall of China to ensure the protection of the trade route.

• Day 1 : New Jalpaiguri to Silerygaon

  Pick Up from New Jalpaiguri Station/ Bagdogra Airport Transfer to Sillerygaon. Sillery Gaon, a Small Village Surrounded On all Sides By Tall Pine Trees, At a Height of About 6000 Ft in the Darjeeling District, is An Upcoming Tourist Destination, Lovingly Called By the Locals as New Darjeeling.

• Day 2 : Transfer from Sillery Gaon to Mankheem

  Early Morning visit Pine Forest, Ramite View Point, Dhamsang Ford by walk in Sillery Gaon. After breakfast Transfer to Mankhim covering Reshi Khola, Q khola etc. Towering over the village of Dalapchand is the scenically beautiful hilltop destination known as Mankhim. Located near to the popular tourist hot spot known as Aritar, this pristine land mass offers tourists with a vantage point to take in some of the most breathtaking sights and sounds of the region. The hilltop looms large over the Lampokhri Lake, giving sightseers a bedazzling view of its emerald green waters. Mankhim also provides onlookers with a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjungha. The panoramic spectacle of the mountains is interspersed with a monastery and a small temple aloft the hilltop, which make for a tranquil retreat from the ensuing din of city life in the plains far below.
