Day 1 : Paro
Arrive Paro and sightseeing at Paro. Upon arrival at Paro, check in hotel and visit ParoMuseuman ancient watchtower now houses the National Museum, with abundant culture relics. Next, walk down the trails to visit RinpungDzongalso known as “heap of a jewel” built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel Perhapsthe finest example of Bhutanese architecture and also a religious administrative Centre.
Day 2 : Paro - Thimphu
Day 02: Paro to Thimphu (55km-1½ hours). After breakfast you will drive to Thimphu , upon arrival check in hotel and visit National Library and Institute for Zorig Chusum Commonly known as Arts & Crafts School or Painting School, the Institute offers a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. Later visit, The Folk Heritage Museum which houses the collection of household objects, typical domestic tools and equipment. Also visit National Post Officewhere you can make stamps with your own photos. Then visit, Sangay Gang also known as Bhutan Broadcasting Service Tower best place for photographers and also one could get a clear view of Thimphu valley.On the way back we will visit the small zoo dedicated to the Takin, thenational animal of Bhutan. Then visit Trashichho Dzongthe largest religious building in Thimphu as well as the central administrative center.
Day 3 : Thimphu - Paro (Hike to Taktshang)
Day 03: Thimphu to Paro, Hike to Taktshang (3-4 hours walk round trip). After breakfast drive to Paro for hike to Taktshang“Trip to Bhutan is never complete without climbing to Taktsang”, says one tourist. Indeed it’s true as the journey there fills you with spiritual bliss.Taktshang monastery is located atop an 800 meter cliff in Paro.
Taktshang or the Tigers lair as the monastery is widely regarded is one of the most important in Bhutan. Its history is associated with the visit of Guru Padmasambhava, the Indian saint who came to Bhutan in the 8th century AD. The cave was named Taktshang after Guru Rimpoche flew into the cave from Kurtoe Singye Dzong in eastern Bhutan riding on a tigress. Later in 1692 the fourth Druk Desi Tenzin Rabgye started to construct monastery and finally completed after three years in 1694. Later visit Kyichu Lhakhangone of the oldest temples to have been built in Bhutan by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century AD.
Day 4 : Departure
