Day 1 : Johannesburg to Tydon Safari Camp and Night Drive in the Sabi Sand
We leave the Urban City of Johannesburg behind us after we have collected you from the airport or hotel you are staying at in the nearby surroundings, and make our way towards the Tydon Safari Camp, situated at Shaw’s Gate, an entrance gate to the World renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
After checking in to your room and having time to freshen up, we embark on a sunset/ evening safari game drive in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, renowned for its abundance of Leopards.
Returning to the Tydon Camp after dark, an inviting camp fire welcomes you back where you can enjoy beverages before the well prepared dinner will be served under stars in the Boma or main dining area.
Day 2 : Kruger National Park Safari Drive
After morning tea or coffee has been served at the reception area, you depart on your morning safari drive in the Kruger National Park in search of wildlife animals to view and photograph. Arriving back at the camp mid-morning, breakfast will be served.
After breakfast, time is spent relaxing during the heat of the day by the pool side, taking a leisurely walk around the Camp or enjoying some of the activities the Camp has to offer.
Light lunches are served between 12:30pm and 2:00pm in the main Lodge area.
At approximately 2:30pm you depart on your afternoon Safari Drive in the Kruger Park. Safaris are about gaining knowledge of the Kruger Park with all its wildlife animals, bird species, fauna and flora which we are certain will leave you feeling enriched and most certainly rewarded. While we are exploring the best routes for game viewing and photographic opportunities on your safari drives, we welcome interaction and questions, so we can provide you with as much insight about this beautiful region and its wildlife animals as possible.
Day 3 : Sabi Sand Morning Bush Walk and Afternoon Safari Drive
An early morning wakeup call will bear witness to a breath-taking array of golden and red colours as the sunrise shines its rays over the Sabi Sand Game Reserve wilderness.
This morning you will be exploring the African bush on foot, which is a once in a life time experience not easily forgotten.
We venture into the unknown with the opportunity to face some of the mysteries of nature and to follow animal tracks, as you feel the tingle of your own senses, and hear the beating of your heart when you edge closer to a herd of elephant, feeding in the river, or a pride of Lion resting under shady trees. Note that the appropriate clothing and shoes are required for the bush walk. Preferable long paints and leather boots are a must.
Arriving back at the camp mid-morning, breakfast will be served.
