Each unique mud hut was built using material sourced locally and built by local craftsmen using traditional techniques. The thatched roofs and mud walls keep the mud huts cool during the heat of the day and help the Mud hut blend into the surrounding bush. The beautiful rustic furniture and decor inside the rooms were all made by hand in camp, mostly from natural materials found close by. Bedspreads and curtains are all made by our local tailor from Tanzanian Kitenge cloth. The rooms are softly lit in the evenings with paraffin lamps.
