Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bagan – Chauk – Kan Pet Let

  You will drive from Bagan to Kanpetlet, a small town on southern Chin Hills, approximately 7 hours. The sceneries will change from the dry and arid plain with flocks of cows and goats along the road to the mountains with lush green trees. En route, you will make stops at some villages and Saw, a charming town by a river for a lunch at local restaurant. In the late afternoon, you will arrive at your resort on the slope of the hill with a commanding view of Kan Pet Let town and surrounding valleys. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Oasis Resort or Pine View Villa in Kan Pet Let.

• Day 2 : Kan Pet Let

  Today is a Sunday and you are cordially invited to join the morning mass at one of the churches. Later, you will visit one or two Chin villages and have pleasant encounters with tattooed faces of Chin ladies. A visit is made to the primary school in the village. Later, they will follow the villagers to a nearby farm on the slope of hill. Depending on the time of the year, you may be able to help the villagers in their work if it would coincide with the time of cultivation or harvest. A picnic lunch is served. In the afternoon, they will sit for a while at a local tea-house, sipping coffee or tea, which will be followed by a walk in Kan Pet Let town. Balance of the day will be at leisure to pursue individual interest. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Oasis Resort or Pine View Villa in Kan Pet Let.

• Day 3 : Kan Pet Let – Min Dat

  After breakfast, drive to Min Dat, another small town on southern Chin Hills, approximately 5 hours. Continue to enjoy the overland drive through changing agricultural sceneries and a number of creeks and rivulets. Plenty of photo stops will be made at villages en route. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant in Mindat. Later, you will make an orientation drive in Min Dat Town or you will visit a nearby Chin village and visit a Sherman who will tell your fortune by using an egg in return for a chicken and a pot of Khaung Yay (intoxicating local drink made of fermented cereal). His wife with tattooed face will show you her skill in weaving. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Oasis Resort in Min Dat.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 4 : Min Dat (1480 Meter Above Sea Level)

  After a breakfast at a local restaurant, it is time to browse the shops in the local market with plenty of chances to find women with tattooed faces. Next stop is a visit to an old Chin lady with big ear studs, who blows the flute by her nose to make some musical notes. You will also visit the one and only monastery in this small town with a dominance of Christianity. Believe it or not, there are more churches than Buddhist monuments. You will have time to discover the daily lives of the monks and also climb the stairs of a pagoda in the premises in order to enjoy the panoramic view of this picturesque town on the mountain range. Continue on foot to a small house museum with collections of the ornaments and weapons of Chin ethnics. Overnight at Mountain Oasis Resort in Mindat.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

• Day 5 : Min Dat – Pakokku – Bagan

  Today, you will drive back to Bagan via Pakokku where you will make a brief visit of the cheroot production. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant. Later, you will cross the Ayeyarwaddy River on the longest bridge of Myanmar and arrive in Bagan for check-in at your hotel or airport.
