Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Kigali International Airport/Transfert to Akagera National Park

  Arrival in Kigali. Welcome by your tour guide at the airport then proceed to the hotel with magnificent views, facilities and services check in at Kigali Luxury hotel. Refresh and get an acclimatization moment near the hotel through short walks etc. Dinner at the hotel 2000Hotel/Akagera Game Lodge

• Day 2 : Akagera Game Drive

  Early breakfast at 5:45am in preparation of an early game drive at 6am. It's important to start early before it gets hot and animals go in hide to avoid the heat. A good day to see the big 5 plus 12 species of antelopes including the biggest antelopes such as the eland cape and roan antelopes, some of the 525 bird species including 4 albertine rift endemics, reptiles, amphibians, plants, magnificent land scapes, historical sites; a place with the highest concentration of birds per square kilometer in any national park of Africa and hundreds of hippos then overnight at 2000Hotel

• Day 3 : Kigali city tour - Musanze

  Start historical-minded exploration of Kigali city with visits to landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide and post-genocide times i.e. Kigali Solaire, Stade regionale, Kigali Genocide memorial site where over 259,000 genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves, Dr. Richard Kandt Museum who was the first Germany explorer to settle in Kigali, Belgian camp where they killed the 10 Belgian UN soldiers who were protecting the moderate prime minister before the start of genocide etc. Transfer to Bugesera in the afternoon to visit the reconciliation village where the survivors of genocide live together in harmony with the perpetrators that killed their own families, Nyamata and Ntarama genocide churches where thousands of innocent people were butchered in the house of God. Transfer to Musanze - Volcanoes National Park. overnight at Five Volcanoes Luxury Boutique

• Day 4 : Mountain Gorillas Tracking

  After breakfast we transfer to the park. After completing our park formalities, we are embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long lost cousin. This is perhaps one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences on earth!!! You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience. Be back at the base in time for lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy after Visit Ibyiwacu Culture Village then back to your Hotel for Lunch

• Day 5 : At your convenience, transfer to the airport.

  After breakfast a guide from Golden Rwanda Tours & Travel will be waiting to pick you up you will bid your host good bye and depart for Kigali. Take a complementary city tour to visit interesting spots which may include; the craft market Also engage in last minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals, before returning to the airport for your onward international flight back home. And you will be transferred to Kigali International airport for your flight back home.
