The 5 days Rwanda gorilla & Lake Kivu takes you to the volcanoes national park which habits the mountain endangered gorillas and the experience to enjoy include the Rwanda gorilla tours, Rwanda gorilla safaris, Rwanda gorilla adventure, and Rwanda gorilla trekking! Have golden monkey tracking and the visit to the Dian Fossey center where Dian Fossey was buried after being killed by the local hunters for the mountain gorillas in the mist! Holiday vacation at the Lake Kivu for boat cruising visiting the local fishing villages!

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Kigali-Volcanoes National Park

Have breakfast and after transfer to the Ruhengeri region and on your way have the en-route visit to the some of the genocide memorial centre and then have lunch at your lodge Mountain Gorilla View lodge/Laplame Hotel/Kinigi guest house. Then evening visit to the twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo) and after return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : Rwanda gorilla Trekking-Dian Fossey center

Have breakfast, after transfer to the volcanoes headquarters for briefing about the endangered mountain gorillas and the volcanoes as well, after enter into the tropical rain forest searching for the mountain gorillas and when you meet with the gorillas take the photos, videos and then have your lunch, after return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Then in the evening visit the Dian Fossey center and from here experience the conservation effort she did to save these endangered mountain gorillas in the mist and it was due to these gorillas that she lost her life and she was buried in this forest! Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : Second Gorilla Trek

Second gorilla trekking experience but to another different gorilla family and then in the evening take the cultural experience to the ibychwa community. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Golden monkey tracking-Lake Kivu

Have breakfast, after go for the early golden monkey tracking and this is done at closer view of the other primates in the park like the red tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys among other. Have lunch and then drive to Lake Kivu and upon your arrival relax at the shoes of the Lake sun bathing and swimming. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel/Manor Hotel

Day 5 : Lake Kivu-Kigali

Have breakfast, and after take the boat cruise along the Lake Kivu visiting the local fishing villages. Return to lodge for lunch, after transfer to the Kigali airport for your night return flight back home. End of services

Important Notes:

We use 4x4 Vehicles on our tours.

We want to give our customers the best trip to East Africa, so we are very flexible and very accommodative and we are willing to go an extra mile. During the trip the car and driver are there for the clients, so they decide where to stop, how long to stop etc.!

During the trip the guide makes sure there is a good place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and dinner are normally in the lodge, lunch can be a lunch box or a stop in a restaurant

In the event government taxes and/or the Uganda/Rwanda/Kenya Wildlife Authority rates will increase the above mentioned total price shall be amended accordingly. All activities and accommodations are subject to availability.

The gorilla tracking will be done in Uganda (USD 600, in April, May and November USD 450). It is possible to do an extra gorilla tracking in Rwanda as well (USD 1.500) or Congo (USD 400).
