The 5 days Rwanda primate adventure takes you to the Nyungwe rainforest is placed in the southwestern Rwanda, at the border with Burundi, south, and Lake Kivu and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. After visit the Volcanoes National Park lies in northwestern Rwanda and borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. The national park is known as a haven for the mountain gorilla. Have breakfast and thereafter embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Nyungwe forest and on your way to this forest have your lunch en-route, visit to some genocide memorials, then upon your arrival check in at Nyungwe forest lodge/Nyungwe top hill lodge/Gisakura guest house.
Have breakfast, and after meet at the park offices for the briefing about the primates and the forest, after enter into the tropical rain forest searching for the shy chimpanzees in the tree branches. While on this walk expect to spot other primates like the white and black Columbus, Vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and manageably. More birds can be spotted too in the Nyungwe National park, return to lodge for lunch and then evening take the canopy walk looking for primates, birds and the clear of the green canopy cover. Dinner and overnight as above.
Have breakfast, and after embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Volcanoes National Park a home to the half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas. Lunch and after continue, then upon arrival you can experience the local community cultural experiences. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Virunga Lodge/Sabyinyo lodge/Laplame Hotel.
Have breakfast, after transfer to the volcanoes headquarters for briefing about the endangered mountain gorillas and the volcanoes as well, after enter into the tropical rain forest searching for the mountain gorillas and when you meet with the gorillas take the photos, videos and then have your lunch, after return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Then in the evening visit the Dian Fossey center and from here experience the conservation effort she did to save these endangered mountain gorillas in the mist and it was due to these gorillas that she lost her life and she was buried in this forest! Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.
Have breakfast, and after embark the safari vehicle and drive back to Kigali with lunch en-route. Then drive to the airport for your return flight back home.

We use 4x4 Vehicles on our tours.
We want to give our customers the best trip to East Africa, so we are very flexible and very accommodative and we are willing to go an extra mile. During the trip the car and driver are there for the clients, so they decide where to stop, how long to stop etc.!
During the trip the guide makes sure there is a good place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast and dinner are normally in the lodge, lunch can be a lunch box or a stop in a restaurant
In the event government taxes and/or the Uganda/Rwanda/Kenya Wildlife Authority rates will increase the above mentioned total price shall be amended accordingly. All activities and accommodations are subject to availability.
The gorilla tracking will be done in Uganda (USD 600, in April, May and November USD 450). It is possible to do an extra gorilla tracking in Rwanda as well (USD 1.500) or Congo (USD 400).
