Day 2 : ANGKOR EXPLORATION
An early morning to avoid the crowd, we head out to visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples which has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the ways most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them, it was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider. Then head back to see the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thom, the Great Angkor City, established in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII. We also visit the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King & Baphoun temple before continue to visit Angkor Wat, the most popular tourist attraction in Cambodia-it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Angkor Wat, also known as the “ City of Temples” a temple complex in Cambodia and one of the largest religious monuments in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. Seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.
Overnight in Siem Reap
Day 3 : ROLOUS GROUP – BANTEAY SREI – PREAH KHAN
After breakfast, head out to the early-Angkor era temples of the Roluos Group, about 15km outside of Siem Reap. Roluos is the site of the first town built by the Angkorian kings in the 8th and 9th century and consists of three main temples: Bakong, Lolei and Preah Ko. The beautiful surrounding countryside with its paddy fields and sugar palm trees is very typical for Cambodia. Continue your visit to Bateay Samrei before travel to the “gem” of the Angkor area, the pretty temple of Banteay Srei, which is best viewed in the warm morning light. The so-called “Citadel of the Women” remains the best-preserved temple in Cambodia. It displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art as this small temple is noted for its truly remarkable fine bas-reliefs. Banteay Srei is unique in that it is constructed of pink sandstone, which is seen nowhere else in Angkor. On the way back, you will have the possibility to stop at local communities along the way and your guide will help you to interact with the local community to learn about the way of life here. Seize the opportunity. Spend your last to visit Preah Khan “Holy Sword”, with vegetation and trees seeming to swallow the ruins. It is one of the larger temple complexes within the historic park, its named by Jayavarman VII in honor of his battle victory against the invading force of Chams, who belonged to a kingdom in what is now Vietnam, in the year 1191. This majestic temple complex is surrounded by a moat, and its surface area stretches over a swatch of land that’s 800 meters by 700 meters, enclosing an area of 56 hectares. Overnight in Siem Reap.

I am a Tour Guide and a solo Adventurer currently working faraway from home. I decided on a solo trip to Vietnam. I was quiet concern about the lanuage barrier and being on my own so I decided to book a tour so I wouldnt have to worry to much. I came across Vitenam Cheap Packages and from time I made contact Mike was very responsive. Mike took care of all my needs. I booked a 6 day trip to Halong Bay and Sapa Mountains. Everything run smoothly from my pick up at the airport, to my goodbyes to Hanio. The company is very professional and what I love about them is that they are very personable. You can ask Mike or his staff anything. They are always ready with a solution, even down to where to purchase an item. I truly enjoyed my time in Vietnam and seriously considering moving there. Being in the business myself I always pride myself on efficiency and professionalism and I cannot stop raving Mike to my friends and family. If you are heading to Vietnam do not miss out on seeing Halong Bay or Sapa Mountains. My favourite place is Hoi An.
