DAY 01: - Arrival at Bagdogra, Drive to Thimphu (D)

The Airport of Bagdogra(Siliguri) in South-East is located approximately 295.0 km South-East of the Bhutan National Airport at Paro,Bhutan
After arriving at Bagdogra Airport, Rimso Travels representative will receive and help proceed to Phuentsholing and process entry formalities at immigration office completing which move to Thimphu enroute Sangay Migyur Milarepa Lhakhang.
After immigration formalities you will start your journey to Thimphu (7,500 ft), the capital of Bhutan that take 4 – 5 hrs over 146.8 kms . On the way enjoy the beauty of Bhutan Himalaya en-route visits Sangye Migyur Ling Lhakhang, a tower for Milarepa and other places of tourist attractions
On arrival at Thimphu check into your respective hotel. After some refreshment you will retire to bed.
After arrival in Thimphu visit , check into the hotel, refresh with welcome tea called Suja, Bhutanese style of tea mixed with butter. After that visit the Authentic Bhutanese Crafts Bazaar also known as the handicraft market of Thimphu is a perfect place to get a glimpse inside the art and craft of Bhutan. Visit Tashichozong, Memorial Chorten. The shops are made using the eco-friendly bamboo, and you will definitely get mesmerized the vibrant colors on display.

Day 2 : Punakha
Post early breakfast, you will drive towards Punakha after completing the Thimphu local tour of sight seeing as follows:

KuenselPhodrang
The KuenselPhodrang or the Buddha point isthe world’s largest sitting Buddha statue, the statue is 167 feet high. Today after breakfast we will visit Buddha Dordenma, which is one of the largest and tallest Buddha statue in the World at 169 feet. The body of the Buddha is filled with 1,25,000 smaller statues of Buddha. The view of the Thimphu valley is spectacular from this point.
Next visit to the famous landmark of the capital, the Memorial Chorten, consecrated in the memory of the Third kind of Bhutan who is regarded as the father of the modern Bhutan. Just as you enter the Chorten, you will be amazed to witness the local people, young and the old alike, circumambulate the Chorten with the prayer beads or the prayer wheel in hand, murmuring the sacred words of prayers. The tall four storied Chorten contains statues and iconography of deities from the tantric teachings.
After that it is time to witness the National Animal of Bhutan, Takin, at the Takin Reserve. Takin are related to sheep and weigh up 650 kgs. According to the local folktale, the Devine Madman, Drukpa Kuenley, created the Takin by joining the goat’s head in the body of the Cow. This interesting animal is an endangered species found only in few pockets of the Himalayas.
TashichhoDzong, a Buddhist monastery cum fortress at the northern edge of Thimpu the capital city of Bhutan. The original ThimphuDzong (the Dho-NgyenDzong) is said to have been constructed in 1116 by Lama GyalwaLhanangpa. . (Entry Fees Rs 500 on direct payment basis)
National Memorial Chorten
The National Memorial was built by Bhutan's third king, H.M. JigmeDorjiWangchuck who is also known as the "father of modern Bhutan." The national Memorial Chorten is located in the center of the capital city, Thimphu and is designed like a Tibetan style Chorten(Entry Fees Rs 500 on direct payment basis)

National Textile Museum
The second important Museum that also opened its doors in 2001 is the National Textile Museum of Bhutan. During a trip to this museum you will get an up close and personal experience of the living national art of weaving.

National Institute of ZorigChusum
The art and crafts currently taught in Bhutan, were introduced to the country in the 15th century by Trenton PemaLingpa. . (Entry Fees Rs 200 on direct payment basis)
National Library
Bhutan's National Library was established in the 1967. Its mission is to preserve the literary treasures of the nation which constitute a significant element of Bhutan's rich and vibrant cultural heritage.
MotithangTakinPreserve
The MotithangTakin Preserve also known as the Thimphu Zoo by many is a small natural preserve for the Takin Bhutan’s national animal. (Entry Fees Rs 300 on direct payment basis)
Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory
The Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory is a small paper factory located in Thimphu that produces paper using traditional Bhutanese methods.
The paper products produced at the factory are made from Daphne or Mulberry plant bark.
Folk Heritage Museum or “Phelchey Toenkhyim” was established on July 28th, 2001. It was established by the Queen Mother of Bhutan, Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck. The building structure is more than 150 years old. It was set in the core area of Thimphu city with a rural way of life including paddy, wheat, and millet fields. (Entry Fees Rs 250 on direct payment basis)
The folk heritage museum was open to the general public in 2001 upon completion. It treasures troves of culture and rich Bhutanese heritage provide rich insights into the Bhutanese ethos.
Simply Bhutan is an interactive 'living' museum that gives a good guided introduction to various aspects of Bhutanese traditional life. Visitors get to learn how to distil ara, dress up in traditional clothes, try out archery and hear songs sung by Bhutanese women as they build houses out of rammed earth. It's a good family experience. There are also souvenir shops and a snack bar. (Entry Fees Rs 1000 on direct payment basis)

After completing all Thimphu local tour of sightseeing move to Punakha enroute Dochula Pass. We will stop over for tea at Dochula (3,100 m), where on a sunny day, you can get stunning views of the Himalayan ranges. Punakha Dzong
The PunakhaDzong or the PungtangDechenPhortangDzong is located at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and the Po Chhu River, combine to form the Puna Tsang Chu which in turn is a tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra River. The Dzhong was constructed by ZhabdrungNgawangNamgyalWangchuck in 1638.After that, we will be driving to the longest suspension bridge and enjoy sight-seeing. After that we will drive to ChimmiLhakhang to start with and enjoy the beauty of the Lhakhang. The monastery stands on a small hill close to the village of Lobesa and was constructed in 1499 by NgawangChoegyel, the 14th Drukpa heirarch.

Day 3 : Paro
After morning breakfast, we will drive towards Paro. Proceed for a full day escort to Paro. En-route Dochu la Pass. The pass is a popular among the tourists because of its 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. The place is worth going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snowcapped mountains and mountain pass. Transfer to Paro.
On the way we will stop over at Chuzom confluence followed by Tachog Lakhang on the way to Paro.
Ta Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan)
The National Museum of Bhutan is housed inside the six storied circular Ta Dzong. The Ta Dzong is a medieval watch tower situated above the RimpungDzong. The Ta Dzong was constructed in 1656.
RimpungDzong
The ParoDzong is probably Bhutan's best known and most iconic Dzong. This is probably the first building you will notice when you land at Paro International Airportand will probably be your first memory of Bhutan.

Day 4 : Paro
Hike to Tiger`s Nest(Paro Taktshang)/Sightseeing and visit to Kyichu Lhakhang,Rinpung Dzong,Taa Dzong
Take a day walk to the ‘Tiger's Nest’, the sacred Taktshang monastery which clings to the rock face 900 metres above the valley floor. Guru Rinpoche is said to have flown to the site riding on a tigress. He subsequently meditated here for three months. It is one of Bhutan’s most holy sites and draws pilgrims not only from Bhutan but also from neighbouring Buddhist countries.You can have lunch at the Taktshang cafeteria from where you get a spectacular view of the monastery. Nearby you can also visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, a temple of historical significance and one of the most sacred shrines in Bhutan.

Day 5 : Phuentsholing
Paro to Phuentsholing – Drive towards Phuentsholing.
In the morning after early breakfast we will drive after breakfast. On the way you will enjoy sight seeing of the beautiful sceneries,photography,etc.You can halt at Chukha for beauty of waterfall. Halt at Damview Restaurant at Wangkha to enjoy the beauty of Chuka Hydel’s scenes. Few minutes halts at Kharbandi for visiting Sangay Migyur Milarepa Lhakhang.Goemba,Chorten and enjoy birds eye view of Phuentsholing town and Indian town called Jaigaon. Then proceed to check into your respective hotel.After refreshment you will be taken to visit of crocodile zoo, Toorsa river reclamation scenes. Evening walk around Phuentsholing for shopping or leisure walks.
Day 6 : Departure
Today is your farewell day for your Bhutan Tour Package from your city/place of origin.
In the morning after early breakfast at 06.00/07.00 AM we will drive towards Bagdogra/Alipurduar/New Jalpaiguri via drive towards Bagdogra/Jalpaiguri from 3 PM or so with vibes in sheer delight and memories cherished in your heart..
