Day 1 : Arrive at Nagpur
Our journey starts at Nagpur, which is earning the reputation as the Tiger Capital of India. Some of the highly reputed tiger reserves are located in its close proximity. This extra day to reach Tadoba is optional to allow you to recover from the flight to Nagpur. However, should you wish, you can opt to reach Tadoba directly, giving you an extra day in the TadobaNational Park.
On arrival, you will meet with our tour representative, who will help you to check in your hotel. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 : Nagpur | Tadoba
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of the finest National Parks in India. Thanks to its very high tiger density, Tadoba National Park enjoys an enviable reputation for tiger sightings. But that’s not what it is limited to. Tadoba houses more than 15 varieties of other mammals such as the barking deer, sambar deer, black bucks, Indian leopards, sloth bears and yellow-throated martens.There are also 25 species of reptiles that are safely protected in the Tadoba’s Natural Reserve.
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel to take on a three-hour drive to reach Tadoba National Park by lunchtime. Once checked in, there is time to unwind and explore the resort.
Later in the day, we will set out on a tiger safari in the Tadoba National Park and will be back in time for dinner.
Day 3 : Tadoba National Park
The vast area of 625 square kilometres of Tadoba National Park provides a secure zone for the endangered Bengal tiger. It is also a haven for an ardent birdwatcher as it is home for over 150 species of birds such as Jungle Bush Quail, Pied Cuckoo, Fly Catcher, Kingfisher and Jungle Babbler. There are more than 300 types of residential and transient fowl such as the hawk-eagles, crested honey buzzards, and black eagles.
We start our day with a nature walk our experienced resident naturalist, who will show us around and introduce you to the sounds and habits of the vast avian population sheltered in Tadoba. We will return to the resort for lunch.
After lunch we will join the late afternoon safari in an open four-wheel drive jeep. Enjoy a drive through the forest and catch sight of animals like sambar deer and black bucks. If lucky, we will be treated with some rare bird sightings such as hawk-eagles, crested honey buzzards, and black eagles
Day 4 : Tadoba | Pench
The beautiful Pench Tiger Reserve is nestled in the southern part of the Satpura Hills and is named after the Pench River that flows through it. In addition to tigers, the area is famous for large herds of Gaur (Indian Bison), Chital (Spotted Deer), Sambar Deer, Nilgai (blue bull), Wild Dog and Wild boar.
We check out from our resort in Tadoba after early breakfast and embark on a four and half hour drive to reach Pench National Park by lunchtime.
After lunch, there is time to unwind and explore the resort. Later we will set out on a tiger safari in Pench National Park and will be back in time for dinner. After dinner, we will go on a walk in the resort escorted by the resort staff. Here we will experience the tranquillity of the night at Pench National Park within a secure setting. This would be a wonderful chance to enjoy the unique experience of walking in the jungle guided only by torchlight. No better time to slow down than now.
Day 5 : Pench National Park
The Pench National Park offers safaris through the forest to get closer to the wildlife – both flora and fauna. This widespread national reserve is rich with rare species of vegetation and animals living in harmony.
We have an early start this morning. After morning tea, we will head out for a safari in an open, four-wheel drive jeep. Starting at dawn, this safari will allow us to experience the forest as it comes alive with activity. During the safari, we take a break to enjoy a picnic breakfast.
After lunch, we will walk to the nearby village to experience the local lifestyle up and close. By evening, we will head to the nearby lake to enjoy high tea, indulge in bird spotting and then enjoy the sunset in the forest. As an optional component, you can enjoy a night safari. While the chances of spotting wildlife at night are lower due to limited visibility, driving in the forest in complete darkness provides a unique experience. Enjoy stargazing in the clear sky and the night activity in the forest.
Day 6 : Pench National Park | Nagpur
Spread over an area of the 758 square kilometres, the Pench National Park was the setting of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. It was Pench where the character of Mowgli and his adventures against the mighty Sher Khan came to life. It is also home for 285 species of migratory birds and is home for four endangered species of vultures.
Our day starts with an early morning safari. During the safari we stop at designated picnic area to enjoy our picnic breakfast in the forest. After safari, we return to the resort to check out. We set out on a two-hour drive to Nagpur airport, where our representative will drop you.
