Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Departure from Irkutsk city center
  We will pick up all tourists from any place and we start our tour.

  Stop at the most southern point of Lake Baikal
  We will see the southern part of the lake from the height, and then we will follow it for several hours by the road, offering magneficient views (we can stop at any point, of course).

  Baikal Sanctuary in Tankhoy
  Arrival to Tankhoy sanctuary (Protected National Park). We will explore small but interesting museum at the visitors centers, one located close to the shore dedicated to the history of Circum-Baikal Railway (in the past the town was a place for the icebreaker ferry connection), another one dedicated to the forest inhabitants. During time from May to October it is possible to arrange visit to the bird ringing (banding) station, which should be booked in advance and it is not included into the price.

  Tankhoy Nature Trail
  After we will have a very relaxing walk by wooden nature trails for 1-2 kilometers (two ways up to you!) exploring the forest and its inhabitants. After that we head to Posolskiy bay, with a stop for lunch on the way (not included).

  Posolskiy male monastery
  Arrival to the monastery, which is famous by its story of Russian ambassadors arrived here in 17 century for a night and were killed by local band of brigands (actually ‘Posolskiy’ in Russian means 'ambassodorial'). Tour around the monastery and its holy places. /span>

  Posolskiy Bay
  The place is very beautiful and has a sandy relaxing beach, so you will have some free time for photos, walking and - if weather allows - swimming in Lake Baikal (in summer this area is one of the warmest at Baikal).

  Arrival to Ulan-Ude, check-in at the hotel. Rest and free time.
  After full of impressions day we arrive in Ulan-Ude and check-in at the hotel.

• Day 2 : Ivolginskiy Temple

  Breakfast
  Good morning! Today we start our tour with the world's biggest Lenin's head, located at the very center of the city.

  Arrival in Ivolginskiy temple and tour around
  Tour around the temple (which is huge and even has its own university) with a local monk

  Temple of Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov
  Visit to the temple with the body of the deep-meditating monk Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov, which gives special feelings and memories. You can also donate a prayer scarf for a good luck there

  Arrival to Old-Believers village
  Transfer to Old-Believers village, which probably you will determine as different from others, visit to the family museum and Old-Believers church, which is still on renovation. You will get understanding who are Old-Believers and why they were settled there.

  Lunch and folk performance
  Lunch with delicious (really) home-cooked food, all products were gathered from local farms. After lunch folk performance, you will see traditional dances and marriage of Old-Believers, all sincere and fun! Folk songs and poetry belong to UNESCO verbal world heritage and give you good understanding what is their life about.

  Walk around the village
  After a walk by well-decorated village street we will head back to Ulan-Ude with a stop at hill lookout point.

  Arrival to Ulan-Ude
  We will drop you off at any requested place of the city.

• Day 3 : Departure

  9:00
  Bus transfer to Ulaanbaatar
  Farewell hugs with your guide, and after breakfast you will depart to Ulaanbaatar.

  Crossing Russian-Mongolian border.
  We will cross the border, after that - lunch on Mongolian side.
  19:00
  Arrival to Ulaanbaatar.
  After crossing the border we will drive to Ulaanbaater. It's 250 km distance. We arrive to Ulaanbaatar and drop you off at any requested point. Free time in the city.
