- The Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) is the largest protected game reserve on the African continent covering an area of 54,600 square kilometers comprised of a vast wilderness with forests, grassy plains, mountains and open woodlands. This reserve was named after Frederick Selous Courtney who was a great Hunter and explorer.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Dar es salaam ---- Nyerere National Park

  After breakfast at 08:00am pick you and drive to Nyerere National Park about 200kms approx 3 hours, upon arrival check inn at Selous Ngalawa Tented Camp, rest a little bit then have hot lunch, wondering around the camp watching primates such as monkeys, Baboons and mongooses. Start the Boat safari at 16:00pm with skipper (guide) along Might River Rufiji observing Hippos, Crocodiles, monitor lizards, different species of birds including resident and migrants; as well plenty of animals drift for water drink till sunset with fabulous view. Dinnera nd overnight at Selous Ngalawa Tented Camp. (Lunch and Dinner)

• Day 2 : Nyerere National Park full day

  After breakfast at 07:00am going for full day game drive with packed lunch till sunset, lunch will be taken at designated picnic site with facilities of toilets. This day you will cover plentiful of game drive along the river side through those oxbow lakes and other areas watching the big herd of Elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, giraffes, waterbucks, lions, hyenas, jackals and etc. Dinner and overnight at Selous Ngalawa Tented Camp. (Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner)

• Day 3 : Nyerere National Park ---- Mikumi National Park

  Pre-breakfast, wilderness walking safari with guidance of an armed ranger at 06:00am for take 2hrs,Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds . Then back to the Camp for full breakfast and drive to Mikumi National Park with packed lunch via Morogoro town through Ulugulu Mountains, small villages and farms. walking safari will give you intimate feel for the African wilds. Dinner and overnight at Mikumi Camp Bastian. (Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner)

• Day 4 : Mikumi National Park full day

  Today you will have full day plentiful of game viewing drives around Mikumi National Park. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly miombo woodland with gently rolling hills. Dinner and overnight will be Mikumi Camp Bastian. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

• Day 5 : Mikumi National Park ---- Dar es salaam

  After breakfast at 06:00am, visiting the Maasai Boma(Maasai village tour) meet with the Chief/leader welcomes you then Maasai guide will explaining their life style, traditional and customs, typical Maasai handcrafts, dancing as well as past and today's life . The Maasai villages are adjacent and near by Mikumi National Park boundaries, Option: back to Camp for the short rest or drive straight back to Dar es salaam via Morogoro town for hot lunch. (Breakfast and Lunch)
