Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin to Munnar

  On arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, proceed for a half day sightseeing of Cochin, covering places of interest, including Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jews Street, St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Net and Indo-Portuguese Museum and later drive to Munnar. En route enjoy beautiful streams, small waterfalls, rubber, pepper, cardamom and tea plantations and thick forests. On arrival at Munnar, check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 2 : Munnar Sightseeing

  After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Dinner and overnight stay is at Munnar.

• Day 3 : Munnar to Rajamalai

  After breakfast proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted. Top station is one of another tourist interesting place. Relax rest of the day. Dinner and overnight is at hotel in Munnar.

• Day 4 : Munnar to Periyar

  After breakfast, depart for Thekkady by road (Approx: 124 kms / 3 hrs). En route visit the panoramic Western Ghat hills covered with spice plantations and an occasional view of waterfalls and streams, several types of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon and clove. On arrival at Thekkady, check into hotel. Later proceed for boating on the Periyar Lake (optional) and experience a view of calm crystal clear Periyar Lake and sanctuary. Watch different wild animals while boating. Stay overnight at Periyar.

• Day 5 : Periyar to Alleppey (Houseboat)

  After breakfast, depart for Alleppey by road (Approx: 155 kms / 4 hrs). On arrival, check into houseboat and spend the day at leisure. Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy lunch, evening tea/coffee with snacks and dinner on it. Stay overnight in houseboat.

  • Themes House Boat
• Day 6 : Houseboat to Cochin (Departure)

  Spend the morning at leisure on the houseboat. In the afternoon, disembark houseboat at Alleppey and transfer to Cochin airport/railway station (Approx: 90 kms / 2 hrs) for onward travel.
