Day 1 : Bagdogra Airport / (NJP)New Jalpaiguri Railway Station - Phuentsholing
Meet & get greeted on arrival at (IXB) Bagdogra Airport / (NJP) New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and transfer to Phuentsholing - The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 2 : Transfer to Thimpu
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thimphu via Gedu. On the way, visit Crocodile Park, Kharbondi Gumpha, Wankha Waterfalls and Chojum. In the evening, arrive in Thimphu where overnight stay facilities will be arranged.
Day 3 : Thimpu Full Day Sightseeing
After breakfast, we go for a full day sightseeing tour of Thimphu, one of the smallest capital in the world. Visit the Buddha View Point: A place from where you can get a good overview of the Thimphu valley is from the Buddha point (Kuensel Phodrang). You can pay your obeisance and offer prayers to the Buddha, the largest statue in the country and then walk around and take a glimpse of the valley. Memorial Chorten: Also known as the Thimphu Chorten, The Memorial Chorten(a stupa dedicated to world peace and prosperity in 1974 in memory of the Third King of Bhutan) Trashi Chhoe Dzong: Also called Fortress of the Glorious Religion, it is situated on the north of the city on the west bank of the Wang Chhu. The Dzong was the site of the lavish formal coronation of the fifth King in 2008 and hosts the city’s biggest annual bash, the colorful tsechu festivities. The opening times 5-6 PM Mon-Fri, 8 AM-6 PM on Sat & Sun. Visit the National Library: Housing an extensive collection of priceless Buddhist manuscripts; the Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as the Painting School) is where students undergo a 6-year training course in Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts. Guests will also visit the Wonderful SAARC Building Simtokha Dzong: The monastery was built in 1627 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. It houses the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies. The carvings behind the prayer wheel in the courtyard are a major attraction of this temple. Visit the Textile Museum and get to know the living national art of weaving at the TextileMuseum. Exhibitions introduce major weaving techniques, styles of local dress and textiles made by women and men. Visit the Takin Mini Zoo, The Takin is the national animal of Bhutan, and looks like a cross between a cow and a goat. Legend has it that the animal was created by the great Buddhist yogi, Drupa Kunley, and it can be found only in Bhutan. In the evening, return to your hotel and rest overnight after dinner.
Day 4 : Thimpu - Paro- Paro Local Sightseeing
Savor a delectable breakfast and proceed for local sightseeing in Paro. Sightseeing starts with Ringpung Dzong, a large dzong Buddhist monastery and fortress of the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu School in Paro District, Bhutan. It houses the district Monastic Body and government administrative offices of Paro Dzongkha. It is listed as a tentative site in Bhutan's Tentative List for UNESCO inclusion. Then go on to visit Kyichu Lhakhang Dzong, The Jowo Temple of Kyichu is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, originally built in the 7th century by the Tibetan Emperor Songtsen Gampo. It is considered to be one of the 108 border taming temples he built. Further, move ahead to visit Tachogang Lhakhang, this was built by Tangtong Gyelpo in the fifteenth century. The temple was likely constructed in 1420, while the Tibetan master was meditating here, he had a vision of an emanation of Avalokiteshvara and had decided to build a temple as well as an iron suspension bridge at this location. Tachogang lies on the way from Paro to the capital Thimphu. The next destination for the day would be the National Museum of Bhutan, it is a cultural museum in the town of Paro in western Bhutan. Established in 1968, in the renovated ancient Ta-dzong building, above Rinpung Dzong under the command of His Majesty, the King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third hereditary Monarch of Bhutan. Also visit, Nya-Mey Zam and Dungste Lakhang. After a historical day of sightseeing head to the hotel in Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5 : Transfer to Phuentsholing
After breakfast head back to Phuentsholing. Witness the view of valleys and the abyss of nature. Get driven by your soul and carried away by the beauty of the peaceful dilemma. Arrive at Phuentsholing. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 6 : Phuentsholing - Bagdogra Airport - (NJP)New Jalpaiguri Railway Station
After breakfast with many wonderful memories drive down to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. Station (124 km/ 4 hours) for Onward Destination.
