Package Overview

“Kidepo Valley National Park is consistently listed in Africa’s top 10 best National Parks, so why haven’t you heard about it.
Kidepo is Uganda’s and one of Africa’s most isolated parks based in the far North of Uganda, bordering Southern Sudan and Kenya, a full two days drive from Entebbe International Airport.
African Unique Safaris and Tours skips the long days driving with a direct 2 hour flight, maximizing your experience and opening up this seldom visited gem.
Kidepo has not often sighted predators such as the Aardwolf, Bar-eared Fox, Caracal, Cheetah, Hunting dog, Striped Hyena as well as Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rothschild Giraffes, possibly Africa’s largest herds of Hile Buffalo, Burchell’s Zebra, Oribi, Klipspringer, Uganda Kob, greater and lesser Kudu, Warthog, Bush Pig, Topi, Grant’s Gazelle, Eland, Bushbuck, Common Duiker, Bush Dusker, Roan Antelope, Beisa Oryx, DikDik, Defassa Waterbuck, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Chandlers Mountain Reedbuck and Bohor Reedbuck. Primates found in the park include the endemic (found nowhere else) Kavirondo Bush Baby. 465 species of bird have been recorded in the park and 58 of these are birds of prey and 14 of these are endemic to the region.
If that’s not enough we immerse you into two authentic tribal village experiences and overnight stays. The Karamojong are a proud warrior and cattle herding culture that have shunned modernizing, whilst the Ik People are the first inhabitants and most marginalized people now pushed to the mountains of Kidepo and finding new sources of food and income after having to abandon hunting. Both are fascinating, safe and thought provoking.
Get off the beaten track and come visit Africa’s best kept secret with Crooked Compass and African Unique Safaris and Tours. Experience what few people do, the greatness of Kidepo Valley National Park.”
