Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Machame Gate (1,800 m/5,900 ft) to Machame Camp (3,000 m/9,840 ft)

The journey begins at the Machame Gate, where you'll register with the park authorities and start trekking through dense rain forest.
The trail gradually ascends, and after about 5-7 hours of hiking, you'll reach Machame Camp, your first overnight stop.

Day 2 : Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,840 m/12,600 ft)

The trail continues through the rainforest, eventually giving way to moorlands.
