Lion making a kill can be witnessed in the late afternoon or a leopard in a tree enjoying the meal he has dragged up to avoid disturbance and detection. The 'big five' are positively represented here. The large predators are the lion, leopard and cheetah. The smaller predators are the hyena and jackal. The large herbivores are the elephant, rhino, Burchell's zebra, hippo, buffalo and giraffe. The smaller herbivores are the antelope and bucks. The Maasai ostrich, the world's largest bird is found in the park.
Given a safari, you may have an opportunity to experience some of these. No two days are alike and you can never predict what new discoveries await. But one thing we can predict that you will be overwhelmed by the beautiful landscapes, colorful people and abundance and variety of wildlife encountered. The greater flamingo attains a height of about 4.26 feet its plumage is almost white with a pale pink, black tipped beak. It is the lesser flamingo that has the more exotic color. About 2.72 ft. in height, with a rosy plumage and dark red, black tipped beak. Lake Nakuru National Park has a great variety of bird life which includes the Egyptian goose and a variety of ducks that come from Europe to winter. This park is truly a bird watchers paradise. The game animals include hippo, waterbuck, gazelles, Colobus monkeys, buffalo, leopard and the Rothschild giraffe. The park is also a sanctuary for the white rhino. Day 4 : Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, enroute game drive in Maasai mara, as you depart to Lake Naivasha, along the floor of the Rift valley, now with more familiar memories of the landscape, a small Italian Chapel, The Great Rift valley view point, then Nairobi - Naivasha road, to arrive at the hotel or camp for early lunch. Afternoon optional activities eg you can proceed on your adventure to various attractive features and places in Lake Naivasha. Covered by ashes from the Longonot eruption which occurred 100 years ago, the Park is famous for its geothermal station, Lower Gorge and spectacular sceneries (cliffs, volcanoes, gorges, geothermal steam). Hell's Gate National Park is characterized by diverse topography and geological scenery.
Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. The lake is almost 13kms across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres.. Afternoon wind and storms can cause the Lake to become suddenly rough and produce high waves. For this reason, the local Masai christened the lake Nai'posha meaning ''rough water'', which the British later misspelled as Naivasha. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as a world class birding. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows. The region surrounding the Lake is well worth exploring. There are two smaller lakes nearby, Oloidien, and Sonachi, a bright green cater lake. Hell's Gate National Park lies beside the lake. This Park was named for its pair of massive red tinged cliffs framing a geothermically active interior of steam vents and bubbling springs. The park is home to a profusion of plains game and birdlife. Walking is permitted, making it ideal for hiking, biking, and rock climbing.
This is an important home of the lammergeyer. Hell's Gate has two gates that are used by visitors - the main Elsa Gate and the Olkaria Gate. The latter also serves the Olkaria Geothermal Station that is located inside the National Park.
Hell's Gate National Park Ungulates and Mammals include:
Buffalo (Cape), Giraffe (Masai), Hyrax (Bruce's), Hyrax (Eastern Tree), Hyrax (Rock), Hyrax (Southern Tree) and Zebra (Common). Carnivores include Aardwolf, Civet (African), Fox (Bat-eared), Genet (Large-spotted) and Genet (Small-spotted), Hyena (Spotted), both Jackal (Black-backed) and Jackal (Common), Mongoose (Marsh), Mongoose (White-tailed), Otter (Clawless), Serval and Zorilla.

All this and many others make Lake Naivasha most ideal for honey mooners paradise. Meals and overnight at Naivasha Sopa lodge/ Naivasha Simba lodge / Fish eagle inn / similar.
Day 5 : Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, drive via Nairobi journey continuous south, to Amboseli national park, the tour passes through the Athi Plains where formerly the Burchell's zebra, the Masai giraffe and smaller herbivores roamed about freely. With human encroachment the wildlife is confined to game parks. There is an advantage to this because one has to drive inside a park to be rewarded with the sight of many different species of animals.
Arrive Amboseli National Park in time for lunch at the lodge; embark on an afternoon game viewing in the park at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft).
