A safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti offers an unforgettable journey through Tanzania’s most iconic landscapes. Begin at Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems, tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos. Next, explore the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a dense concentration of wildlife including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos.
The crater’s unique topography and abundant wildlife provide unparalleled game viewing opportunities. Finally, venture into the vast Serengeti National Park, famous for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing. Expect to witness dramatic predator-prey interactions and a wide array of wildlife in their natural habitat. This safari promises breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and cultural encounters with local Maasai communities, offering a comprehensive and enriching African safari experience.
Day 1 : Safari to Tarangire Park
The begins of 6-Days Tanzania Luxury Safari. After breakfast we head off on safari towards the Tarangire for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park until evening time before it get dark ready for dinner and overnight stay.
Tarangire National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is famous for its large herds of elephants and striking baobab trees. Spanning over 2,600 square miles, the park offers diverse landscapes, including savannahs and woodlands, and supports a rich variety of wildlife, such as lions, leopards, and buffalo. During the dry season, the Tarangire River attracts a multitude of animals, making it a prime spot for wildlife viewing. Known for its scenic beauty and less crowded atmosphere, Tarangire provides an excellent safari experience with abundant wildlife and picturesque landscapes.
Day 2 : Lake Manyara National Park
We head to Manyara Park which offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats.
This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.
Day 3 : Serengeti National park
Morning game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The Visitor Centre close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The center also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the center in the shade of the giant acacia trees; in the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink.
Day 4 : Serengeti National park
Full day Serengeti Nationals Park Tour drive including following the wildebeest migration.
Every year more than two million wildebeest and zebras migrate north from the Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara Reserve and back, following the rain season cycles. On their path they face treacherous river currents and lurking predators as they cross Mara river in search of green pastures.
Since this is really amazing display of wildlife, our Serengeti adventure will spread across the two days of game viewing and pure enjoyment in this vast movement.
