Lake Victoria is the second biggest fresh water lake in the world and here you will get to eat fresh fish straight from the lake cooked by the lakeside, around the city are excursions that will feature visit to Kit mikaye a cultural shrine for the Luo people. A visit to Ndere Island national park where you will see is a wide variety of animals including hippos, monitor lizards, Nile crocodiles, several fish species, snakes, baboons, impalas, the rare sitatunga antelopes, water bucks, zebras and warthogs. Over 100 different species of birds can be seen here including African fish eagles, black headed gonoleks and grey headed kingfishers. Day 1 : Nairobi-Kisumu
Depart Nairobi for Kisumu which is approximately 347km away. On arrival check in at the hotel and later have lunch. Afterwards head out for city excursion and boating excursion at the Lake Victoria and get to interact with the local people. The majority being Nilotes from the luo community who inhabit the region. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : Kisumu-Ndere Island National Park
After early morning breakfast trek to the lake shore or the yatch club and get on a boat to Ndere Island National Park. According to the luo legend Ndere means meeting place where mikaye mother of luo rested after a long journey down the Nile to Lake Victoria before reaching her home. Lunch in the lake on the boat. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Kisumu cities
Leave for the yatch after breakfast, whereby you will get boats ready to go fishing. You will then visit Kiboko Bay Beach Resort to see hippos then later after lunch at the kiboko bay join the local fishermen for fishing till evening.

Day 4 : Kisumu-Kakamega Rainforest Game Reserve
Depart early in the morning after breakfast for Kakamega about 45 km North of Kisumu. Arrive just in time for lunch as you rest for a while. Later on set out for nature walks in the forest watching various species of animals including. The endangered de brazza monkey, black and white Columbus monkeys & vervet. Moreover get to climb on the canopy watch tower & tour the natural grassland.
Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite guest house.
Day 5 : Kakamega Forest National Reserve
Leave very early in the morning so as to be able to watch as many birds as possible and also late in the evening. Then proceed through the forest to isiukhu falls and enjoy the rapid fall with calm breeze & tremendous butterflies, birds and monkeys. You will have lunch en-route. Leave to Lirhanda Hill so as to capture the sunset and the forest canopy cover. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp site/guest house.
Day 6 : Kakamega-Nairobi
Early morning Breakfast, Check out of the guest house and embark on your journey to Nairobi. You will stop for your choice of lunch along the way, and then arrive in Nairobi in late afternoon to catch your flight.
