Package Overview

Drive to Punakha Valley. Enroute to Dochu La Pass, weather permitting one can able to witness panoramic view of Himalayan range. Later descend down towards Lobesa village and after lunch visit to Chimi Lhakhang temple, dedicated to saint Drukpa Kuenley and then followed by a visit to Punkha Dzong(fortress).

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Paro – Thimphu

  Upon arrival at Paro Airport, meet out guide and driver and then transfer you to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enroute to Tachogang temple. Check into hotel. Later visit to Giant Buddha and Memorial Stupa. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 2 : Thimphu Sightseeing

  Morning after breakfast, visit to Changangkha Temple, Takin Zoo, Nunnery, National Library and Painting School. After lunch visit to Post Office, Jungshi handmade paper factory and Weekend Market(Opne on Friday – Sunday) Evening visit to Tashichho Dzong(fortress) Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 3 : Thimphu – Punakha

  After breakfast, drive to Punakha Valley. Enroute to Dochu La Pass, weather permitting one can able to witness panoramic view of Himalayan range. • Day 4 : Punakha – Gangtey

  Morning after breakfast, we then drive to Phobjikha valley crossing Wangdiphodrang town. Later enjoy a nature hike which takes about 30-45 minutes and then visit to Gangtey Goenpa(Monastery) Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 5 : Gangtey – Paro

  Today we will start early to Paro, crossing Dochu La Pass. Stop for a hot lunch at Thimphu. After lunch continue drive to Paro. Later visit to Ta Dzong(Musuem), Rinpung Dzong(fortress) and Kichu temple. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 6 : PARO (Tiger’s Nest Hike)

  After early morning breakfast drive to Tiger’s Nest base from where you can enjoy a stunning hike on foot to visit most sacred “ Taktshang Monastery” or Tiger’s Nest. Usually, the hike to Taktshang from the road point will take through the well maintained path which is quite uphill which is expected to takes around 2-3 hours at an average walking speed and the trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees adorned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. We will stop for a rest and light refreshments at the Taktsang cafeteria. Although, this incredible monastery clings to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley. It is believed to be that Guru Padmasambhava, the tantric master who brought Buddhism to Bhutan in 747 AD, flew here on the back of a flying tiger Dorji Drolo, said to be his consort. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
• Day 7 : Departure / Exit

  Our guide and driver will transfer you to airport for your onward destination.
