ROYAL HERITAGE - SOUTH INDIA starts from Chennai offers you to visit the group of monuments at Mahabalipuram. It is a collection of 7th- and 8th-century CE religious monuments in the coastal resort town of Mamallapuram followed by Kanchipuram Considered a holy pilgrimage site by Hindus, it is home to many temples. The 8th-century Kailasanathar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is a vast complex with intricate sandstone carvings. Ulagalanda Perumal Temple houses a huge statue of Lord Vishnu. A mango tree in the Ekambareswarar Temple courtyard is thought to be sacred. Pondicherry, a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu. The Chettinad region is well known for its 19th-century mansions, whose wide courtyards and spacious rooms are embellished with marble and teak. Construction materials, decorative items, and furnishings were mostly imported from East Asian countries and Europe. Madurai is an energetic, ancient city on the Vaigai River in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Its skyline is dominated by the 14 colorful gopurams (gateway towers) of Meenakshi Amman Temple where the tour ends.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive at Chennai

  Arrival at Chennai Transfer to Mahabalipuram (an early arrival is advisable before 11AM). Check in at Hotel at Mahabalipuram and afternoon city tour.

• Day 2 : Kanchipuram

  Proceed to Kanchipuram after early breakfast and visit Ekambaranatha Temple, Meenaakshi Amman Temple and Kailasnatha temple and back to Hotel.

• Day 3 : Pondicherry, Auroville & Chidambaram

• Day 4 : Kumbakonam, Kumbeswara Temple, Dharasuram & Tanjore

  Moring after breakfast visit Nataraja temple if not in the previous day/ drive to Kumbakonam visit Kumbeswara temple and Dharasuram then drive to Tanjore check in at Hotel.

• Day 6 : Chettinadu, Madurai

• Day 7 : Madurai
