Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Maun Airport and fly to Kanana Camp

  On arrival you will be met and assisted with the transfer to your onward flight. Fly by light aircraft to Kanana Camp, a flight of approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival the honeymoon couple will be welcomed into the camp and briefed on all the facilities in the camp and the activities on offer.
  You are be booked here for 2 nights in a standard tented room with all meals, local brand drinks and daily morning and afternoon game activities included.

• Day 2 : The Okango Delta

  Flight to OkavangoThe Okavango Delta (or Okavango Swamp), in Botswana, is the world’s largest inland delta. It is a dream honeymoon locatio in botswana. It provides what is perhaps the most exclusive and private wilderness safari experience in the world. The delta is very flat, with less than 2 meters variation in height across its 15,000 km². It is formed where the Okavango River flows into the vast Kalahari Desert. The Moremi Game Reserve, a National Park, spreads across the eastern side of the delta. The area was once part of Lake Makgadikgadi, an ancient lake that mostly dried up by the early Holocene.
  Kanana Camp is located in an incredibly scenic part of the Okavango Delta. The camp itself is situated in a private concession right by the Xudum River and the area around the camp is dotted with palm fringed islands. During the peak flood season from July – September, Kanana offers more of a water camp experience with more emphasis on boating and mokoro safaris.
  Mokoro ride in okavangoThe camp has 8 stylish tented rooms, raised on teaks decks with spectacular views over the floodplains, all with en suite facilities. In addition there is main lounge and dining area and a swimming pool.
  A variety of activities ideal for honeymooners are offered including day & night game drives, mokoro & boating safaris and walking safaris. This camp is a particular treat for birding with a superb heronry close by and regular sightings of the elusive Pels Fishing owl.

• Day 3 : Fly to Savute Safari Lodge

  Today you will fly to Savute Safari Lodge by light aircraft, a flight of approximately 55 minutes. Upon arrival you will be welcomed into the camp and briefed on all the facilities in the camp and the activities on offer. You will be booked here for 2 nights in a standard room with all meals, local drinks and daily morning and afternoon game activities included.
  After being dry for nearly three decades the Savute Channel began flowing again in 2009 totally transforming the Savute area of Chobe National Park. This is now one of the best places to go on safari in Botswana with huge herds of buffalo and elephant and predators such as lion, leopard and Wild Dogs frequently seen here.
  The Savute Safari Lodge is perfectly positioned to view all the action and is only 50 metres from the Savute Channel. The lodge itself is of a very high standard and is certainly one of most luxurious options in the region. Rather than the tented rooms that are typical of Okavango Delta and Linyanti camps the 12 rooms here are constructed of local timber and thatch. They are very spacious and elegantly furnished with an open plan bedroom and lounge area and large sliding glass doors which let in lots of light. All are ensuite and all have their own large private viewing deck.

• Day 4 : Fly to Kasane then transfer Chobe Game Lodge

  Today you will fly to Kasane by light aircraft, a flight of approximately 45 minutes. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Chobe Game Lodge, approximately 30 minutes drive. Upon arrival at the lodge you will be welcomed into the lodge and briefed on all the facilities and the activities on offer. You are booked here for 2 nights in a standard room with all meals, local brand drinks and daily morning and afternoon activities included.

• Day 5 : Chobe National Park

  Chobe is famous for its giant elephant and Cape buffalo herds and is the most southern place where the Puku can be found. In 2009 an official censor counted 120.000 animals. The area of Chobe National Park near Kasane is famous for its concentration of animals around the Chobe River front especially in the July-October dry season.
  Chobe Game Lodge is situated inside Chobe National Park and set apart from the busy riverfront area near Kasane village. This means that you get to experience the excellent game viewing that Chobe has to offer with less crowds. It is the only 5 star lodge situated actually inside the park and is perfect if you are looking for high standards of accommodation and facilities as well as a superb safari experience during your honeymoon in Africa.
  All 47 rooms are river facing and come with air conditioning, overhead fans, complimentary mini bar and a private terrace. For that extra bit of exclusivity and luxury there are 4 suites with their own plunge pool on the terrace and separate lounge area.
  The lodge has all the facilities you would expect in a 5 star property. There is a dining area inside as well as outside on the terrace overlooking the Chobe River, a bar area, a cigar lounge with billiard table and a well stocked library. There is also a spa and beauty salon, a gym, swimming pool and internet access is also available. This however is still a safari lodge at heart and this is still the central focus of the property. It has the distinction of having the only all female guiding team in Botswana and they are superb.
  Game drives are operated into the quieter and remote areas of Chobe National Park in open sided 4×4 vehicles for maximum visibility. Safari cruises along the Chobe River are also offered using small boats which allow you to get close to all the action along the riverfront. There is also a double decker river cruiser which is perfect for sunset cruises with sundowners and snacks served on board.
